Location
Being asked to pick breakfast and time for next day…. Before even checked in. Then chef was late for breakfast and guy in restaurant spoke down to me when we dared to try and change our mind about what we felt like eating. The breakfast we were paying for. Ridiculous

Bath in the bedroom a glass door you could see the toilet and it was wet room which we found to be dangerous and just two biscuits for three nights and at least 13 steps to get to Reception

Friendly and helpful staff, right in the centre of Chester so handy for shops and restaurants. A very comfortable bed in a large room ( we stayed in room1). It is 4 flights of stairs.
We were there at the weekend so just to be aware it was very busy and quite noisy.

The hotel was so quirky. Beautifully presented. Staff were so nice. Lucie in the bar was a real gem. Didn't eat in the hotel at all but had a few drinks in the bar, which was a really nice space a d had a great selection of drinks. The secret garden was a treat too. Would stay there again if in chester. Great central location.
We stayed in a loft room but unfortunately there was no lift so it was a bit of a climb!

Loved the atmosphere, the decor. The secret garden, the whole quirkiness was just brilliant.
The price for the continental breakfast. I would liked an option for some hot breakfast for the price.
