Very Good
Location to Chester city and proximity to the railway station was excellent. We needed to store baggage prior to check in time and staff were very helpful. Heat wave during our stay and pool hotel pool provided some welcome relief. Room was hot but a small fan helped. Good buffet breakfast comprising continental and cooked. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at The Mill & Spa and would certainly stay again.
Room and facilities were as advertised so no complaints or concerns

Excellent location easy to walk into town. Pubs by canal good value. Lovely to have a swim in pool after hot day.

Very friendly staff, especially at breakfast. Excellent spa facilities - swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room - in good condition and with very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Hotel location excellent for train travel to Chester - 10 min walk from station and 10 min walk to city centre. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was good. Courtney, on Friday and Saturday night was really engaging and made the evening on Friday night
It was unusually warm I know, but I really could have done with air conditioning or a window that opened fully. The water was scalding - not sure why it needed to be such a high temperature?

The property itself was clean and tidy.

On Arrival we weren’t welcomed very professionally.
The woman who served us wasn’t very chatty and the check in felt very rushed.
We didn’t get told how to access the pool and had no idea were it was so due to this we didn’t get to use the pool witch is a shame as we had paid for the full experience.
I wanted to ask about the pool but we got told our room number and rushed away.
I did text the hotel number to ask about the pool but by then it was too late to use the facilities.

I did like the comfortable beds.
The breakfast was awful for the money you are paying. Only English breakfast (even that was poor, no hashbrowns, no mushroom, scrambled egg from microwave) w
With cold toast. No continental breakfast, no fresh bread or breadrolls, no healthy options.

Great location nice to be able to have access the pool and gym facilities.
No air conditioning and it was a heatwave so very uncomfortable night’s sleep. Thankfully there was air conditioning in the dining room area.

The hotel is in a brilliant location for getting around Chester. Our room was lovely, we upgraded to the canal view and it didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Thankfully there was a fan in the room as we stayed during a heatwave and unfortunately there is no air conditioning in the rooms. There was tea & coffee and biscuits in the room. The pool, gym and spa were amazing!!! We made full use of the facilities over our 3 day stay. The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere and the car park across the road was really convenient
It was a bit dated and tired. The shower was loose in our room and there was no heated mirror or radiator in the bathroom so it was extremely wet and misted up after using the shower, even a Luke warm one. There was hardly any fresh fruit at breakfast - only apples, however the breakfast was ok.
