The reception and restaurant staff were really helpful and friendly. Restaurant was nice breakfast was good if basic. Sunday roast was nice. Bar staff were busy watching the match while serving, which was rude. Location was walking distance to the town and everywhere we wanted to visit.
Our room was in the old part of the hotel, one window away from the flyover facing the canal. It was small, pokey and stuffy. The bathroom was old to the point that the bath was visible stained inside it making it look dirty. The shower was the basic turn taps to correct temperature then a pull push to get the water through the shower spray. The last night the cold tap of the shower stopped working completely leaving just hot water. It was bank holiday and they could not get it fixed we were told, but we could shower using the Spa.

Close to the train station but could be better signposted if you are not driving. Excellent room plenty of space, large wardrobe and coffee and tea facilities. Breakfast was amazing plenty of choice and hot. When you book into the hotel you will be asked what time you will be going for breakfast to avoid a large queue.

Everything was on the doorstep and everyone working there seemed so professional
Nothing apart from someone smoking weed on the 4th floor as the stench by the lift was awful.
Not the hotels fault but maybe a walk around the hotel every now and again would benefit.

Fantastic pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam rooms. Location perfect. Breakfast really great and they catered superby for myself as a coeliac vegetarian. Staff friendly. Huge beds
Bar was a bit travellodge looking but reasonably priced and staff really helpful. Not sure where to park if carpark full.

It is the first time we have stayed at the hotel and we really enjoyed it. Clean and tidy, the room was nice and all the meals we had were very good. We will be booking again.

The hotel was lovely the staff were exceptional. The bar was not overpriced. Very close to station about an 8 min walk and close to walk to the town.
Our room was 243 we had an issue with our shower. On the first day I turned the shower on the pressure of the water forced the shower head up this then soaked the whole bathroom. The floor walls etc it was very slippery. Went to reception and asked for fresh towels as they were soaked. To have a shower that night and the next morning we had to shower holding the hose. They then fitted a new shower head and hose the next day. Went to have a shower in the evening even before we turned the shower on the curtain pole fell from the wall and just narrowly missed my sister's head. I called down to reception they were very apologetic and came up straight away. I do feel that the bathroom needs to be refurbished as this cannot keep happening to guests someone will injure themselves.
