Wonderful
I had a wonderful stay. The property is perfectly located- just a short walk from the bus station, and right in the heart of the city. It couldn’t be more convenient. The owner, Claire, is such a lovely and helpful lady.From the moment I got off the bus, she called to guide me on how to get to the property and made sure I settled into my room smoothly. Her warm hospitality really made my stay extra special.
The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the bathroom- the room I stay has a narrow space (not small, just a bit tight). But overall, it was a great stay, and I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Chester.

I didn't like it because the owner was so rude with us and there was two face towel and I used it the owner said why you used like this then why you are putting your towel in room I paid for two towel it's really embarrassing I think I wasted my money £150.

The Hoist Claire was so welcoming and very helpful. Our room was lovely and comfortable.
Unfortunately we were told it was only going to cost £10 24hrs in the carpark opposite Maison Claire but when we went to pay on departure it was £18 but maybe ? we mislaid the info lol

Location is great. 2 min walk to the shop’s & restaurants. There’s a Tesco right across the street and a papa johns so if you don’t want to venture far you don’t have to.
My room was clean and comfortable. Mini fridge is handy.
The locking system isn’t great.
I ended up locked out of my room for half an hour on the Saturday cos my given key code just stopped working and I couldn’t get an answer of either of the contact numbers. I did get a call back after leaving a message and my code was reset & the lady was very apologetic for the mix up.
Not ideal tho & tbh I wouldn’t have booked if I’d realised there would be no staff on site. Might not be a big deal for most people but as a woman travelling alone it does matter to me.
I wasn’t the only one having issues either cos I was woken at 2am in the morning by the guest opposite me struggling to get in his room, the keypad was constantly beeping and then he was talking on the phone trying to get it sorted. This went on til around 3am and after that I was wide awake for the rest of the night so was absolutely shattered for the drive home in the morning.

City centre location, away from the night time noise.
Clare the host really welcoming, friendly and caring.
Decor makes the old building modern and looking loved.
The only down side was the key pad on the door is a bit noisy.

The location.
The staff /owner was very rude and a bully. Treated me with no respect. She didnt show no respect to guest items left in the room. Because of her rudeness and bullying behaviour, I ended up checking out earlier than planned. I booked for 3 nights, but stayed for only 2nights.
If you are the type of person that shows respect to others and expect to be treated with respect, , ....please dont go there.
