The restaurant serves seasonal ingredients and the best produce available. A full English breakfast and room service are available. Chester has a long history and the Roman Minerva Shrine, Medieval city walls and Victorian Grosvenor Museum remain today. The famous Roman amphitheater is literally at the end of the road! The bed was so comfortable, pillows great, fan as it was warm, everything we needed in an ideal location.

The location is central to chester and staff were friendly.
The bed has seen better days. I was in a deluxe king room. Two single beds pushed together with a very visible dip in the middle that we kept slipping into. One side of the bed was slanted as it had no wheels and the divan base had collapsed, so a very uncomfortable night sleep unfortunately. Also, for the price paid, the coffee provided was poor quality.

Really dated, rooms were 1950s. Value compared to other hotels is not great. Breakfast was not good at all, £22 per breakfast was ridiculous

It’s location was the only good thing
Hotel from the dark ages, it was grubby, poor mattress and the worst pillows I’ve ever slept on. The tv in our room didn’t work and the hotel did nothing to fix the issue. Single glazed windows, broken stuff all in the room and it just generally felt dirty

Receptionist was really helpful and pleasant.
Very tired decor. Shower poor. Toilet didn't flush properly. TV control didn't work. Just generally low standard for a city centre hotel in a nice city.
