Breakfast came down 8.30 waited over 5 mins to be seen kept pressing bell did not book told by reception did not have to. 3 people in total having breakfast told they had 30 people in at 9am so could not fit me in young girl ,said I would have my breakfast done before they came down , no was answer after asking 4 times she finally said okay i can prob fit you in so I said do know what you have spoilt my whole experience of stay stick it I will find some where else to eat , practically begged to be let in ,really great customer service !!!

The fact that we only stayed one night
This hotel is rated 4 stars. I think this must have been when it was built. It is dirty and desperately in need of nenovation. We were kept awake by some aggressive man shouting at his poor wife. The restaurant was filthy. The pots had not been washed properly. There was food splashed all over the salt and pepper pots. The cups were cracked and sticky. All in all, a very poor experience. If your expectations are 1 or 2 star you may not be dissapointed.

Excellent Location.
"Rather Tired" building. Basic choices for breakfast; OK for full 'English'. Faulty bathroom basin taps!! Room not serviced on first day (was it because we did not leave room till 11:45am?) On second day, left room at 11:00am & returned at 2:00pm to find room not serviced again! However, a few minutes later, 2 persons arrived to supply clean towels, empty the rubbish bin and make the bed all in less than 5 minutes and off they went.

I left perfume in the room and reported it as soon as I got home. It turned out to be gone, but it’s a shame to lose customers over just a few pounds.

Luckily, as this was a work trip, I spent most of my time at the hotel asllep.
Room 305 stank. The window was nailed shut. The plug was stuck in the sink, so I could not use the sink. A hotel that can't get the room right, probably can't be trusted with anything else. I chose not to give the hotel any more of my money, and had breakfast at a café nearby. I travel a lot, and rarely need to give poor feedback. I was very surprised that the hotel was so bad.

The location right in the heart of Chester
The room was very small, heating was hit and miss. The cleaning cupboard near our room was very noisy with doors keep banging from early on in the morning. We weren’t told where our room was when checking in and had to ask.

Location in the city
Room location was noisey until 0430...street cleaning started at 0645. Ask for an internal facing room or away from main street. No working fan or window in bathroom including blind it became a steam room. No cold water in room all taps hot...water fountains at far end of corridor...not informed on check in walked to reception (quite a hike) to be informed. Breakfast was chaos not enough staff...food and utensils/glasses not available...had to eat breakfast piece meal when it came out..gave up on bacon!
