The room was large, comfortable and clean although a bit dated. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful together with being very good at their roles.
The facilities and food at the the family event I attended were very good.

The facilities were great, the staff were friendly. The afternoon tea was superb. The massage was amazing.
The bedroom was very very basic. The paint was coming off the shelve unit, the walls had plaster coming off them. The bed was super comfy though.

Location is not bad but would not stay here again. Not good for relaxing family stay.
Breakfast is very disappointing, stale cooked bfast on both days and hardly anything for continental. Dinner also very disappointing and seriously overcharged. Restaurant staff are for Dinner in particular are completely untrained and not knowing anything 20 somethings. Even simple questions about food resulted in I don't know. Complaints about foods are not responded to.

The hotel is clean and tidy, although a little tired in places, but presentable.
In the Hospitality industry it is not unusual for things sometimes to go wrong, it happens, what separates the slick operators is how concerns are dealt with / resolved. Regrettably this is where this venue falls down. I booked for 5 days, but confirmed when checking in that I would only need the room for four. I checked out on the fourth day, but didn’t notice they’d charged me for five until I was creating an invoice. One would probably expect this could be resolved relatively swiftly, perhaps a hotel is used to this type of event? It has taken days of contacting the hotel and booking.com to try and unravel, and almost a fortnight later I am still no further forwards - how can that be, we’ve all got better things to do with our time. At least I used my American Express so can raise a chargeback with them relatively easily.

The spa treatment was good - the only thing that was
Unmanned reception desk, no one came for a while, the first room was awful old dated and smelt, stains on the carpet, radiator and chair, dust on everything and the wall had no paint just plaster I asked to change rooms which they did. Second room was only a slight improvement but still dust everywhere and stains on carpet and radiator shower screen was loose and shower pole holding on for dear life. Beds were firm and un sleepable. Very disappointed. The pool ceiling and walls could do with a good sandpaper and re paint flaking and mould everywhere as well as the ceiling in the therma spa would not return
