Beautiful place situated in a lovely rural spot. Gardens to sit in stunning.
Staff absolutely brilliant. Food excellent. Room spacious clean overlooking garden had room for the three of us. Beds clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee set up on room table. We loved it all.
There wasn't anything we didnt like.

Poor
By the canal
Shabby, tiny and very very hot room. There was a fan in the room but that didn’t do much. It was 10 degrees hotter in the room than outside. We attempted to sleep with the window open but the noise of the kitchen extractor kept us awake. Bed really hard. All in all we felt like we were being tortured so we left after the first night.

Room was spacious and modern. Great location by the canal. Restaurant served really nice food.
Insufficient bar staff. No one was clearing tables in the evening. Loads of glasses left on tables and piled up on the bar. Just didn't create a good impression.

Wonderful
Location, and lovely helpful staff . Food excellent , plenty of inside seating and outside garden and seating area .Loved walking along the canal ,. Large room with excellent shower and bathroom .
The mattress was very hard , and the stairs would not have suited anyone with mobility issues , but we were aware of this before booking , only one toilet downstairs

Wonderful
In a lovely location, the rooms were nice and clean
I was in a single room and the window was at floor level , which I don’t mind at all, but I did lean on the bar at one point the safety bar across the window and as I lent on it… the safety bar came tumbling down that did bother me as it is very dangerous that would make you fall. also a single bed was a very small one and it was very hard.

Wonderful
Stayed before , many years ago, very handy for park and ride and ideal spot for our mini break
Maybe because of my age ( old ) I miss the old pub classic meals somewhat. ( Scampi ,pies etc ) I know times have changed and it's hard to keep up with it all.

Very Good
Lovely location by the canal and nicely set back from the busy road.
Rooms were a reasonable size, although a little dark, great for sleeping but not for sitting in or using the mirrors etc.
Excellent dining experience both from the evening menu and breakfast in the morning. Polite and helpful staff who were prepared to go the extra mile! In fact my sister had her wedding reception there and everything was perfect !
Our bedroom had a very “rickety” clothes rail which had obviously seen better days, however it served its purpose for our short stay!
The mattress was terribly hard, not firm but really hard!!! Hopefully it can be replaced as it was not an enjoyable nights sleep at all !!

Wonderful
the breakfast was ok but standard.
the dinner was superb but required some waiting.
very good and agreeable room.
i like that they have put up rails at the front door with a handle.
the bed slightly too high for me who is disabled. the bath had an excellent bathmat, but could do with a longer one covering the whole length of the shower room, especially for me who is extremely poor walking, especially on smooth flooring
