With a garden that leads onto a lovely canalside footpath, The Cheshire Cat by Innkeeper's Collection offers free private parking. A roaring log fire features in the country-style Cheshire Cat restaurant and bar, which serves a seasonal menu and cask ales. All rooms have an private bathroom. Chester’s historic, walled city center is just a 5-minute drive away and Chester Zoo can be reached after a 10-minute drive. Friendly staff, clean room, food and drink fairly priced and evening meals were good.
Really hard and uncomfortable mattress so spent the first night on top of the duvet. Decor generally needs refreshing, especially in main pub area. Breakfast wasn't a great standard.

Top floor room with tiny window that could not open for airflow in heat - fan was supplied but no good if there is not enough fresh air.

The breakfast was awful. I think it was cooked the day before and reheated. Our waitress on Saturday night was very efficient and polite but when we arrived in the restaurant two members of staff turned their backs on us. One member of staff stank on B.O.

This is a fabulous canal side hotel, the accommodation is fabulous, as was the restaurant, lovely gardens to relax and chill out
The location is good but it's a long walk to go anywhere else, I'm disabled
