Good breakfast although bread was not supplied regularly and was missing from time to time.
Toilet not completely clean, stinky carpets on the floor, chlorine smell in the bathroom and hall. The hotel is worn off and if you look at details such as condition of the wall behing the radiators or cleanliness of air conditioning, you are pretty negatively surprised: some items have not been cared of since years or even decades...
Booking web page has indicated that additional charges for a pet are 10 GBP yet the hotel charges 15 GBP in reality.

So... we were on our way to the Lake District and went via Chester to see some friends. We booked 2 rooms; one for son & girlfriend, one room for me, my wife and other son. The rooms were comfortable.
Check-in was excellent with a very friendly & helpful man at reception. Check-out was noon, which was fantastic and allowed us to use the facilities.
What we really liked was the hotel had a gym which we used, and a swimming pool, which we also used! Breakfast was included in the deal and was very good - 'cooked' breakfast available if you wanted it. And the breakfast staff were very friendly / helpful.
The hotel is a maze and I got lost unsurprisingly. Plenty of parking as well.
All in all, a restful & relaxing stay.

Family room was very spacious and comfortably slept 2 adults and 2 children. The pool was great for the kids and the breakfast was ample. The hotel was ideally located for a trip to Chester zoo. Free onsite parking was a bonus - you need to pre register.

A good value for money hotel, with most things done well, you can’t grumble for the price paid versus the vastly inferior budget chains. Rooms had everything we needed, the on-site restaurant and bar was good and meant we didn’t need to venture out as the purpose of this stay was simply to break a long road journey. Rooms had hairdryers, irons, drinks facilities etc. and plenty of room - impressed for the money spent. Plenty of free parking too, (register your vehicle at the reception desk), which is a bonus so close to a tourist destination like Chester
Nothing it was entirely sufficient for the purposes and good value for money, if I’d have paid more I would have liked a more powerful shower but I didn’t so I’m not moaning! Be aware if you stay here do not trust Apple Maps - it shows the hotel on the roundabout and takes you past your exit, if you put in the address and then expand the map, look for a BP petrol station off the roundabout it’s car park entrance is shared with the petrol station access road (don’t let that put you off this sounds more off putting than it’s meant to)

The hotel was very comfortable and a perfect location for Chester, The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.
The meals we had in the evening were very nice but we found it difficult to find a place in the bar area for our meal as it was always busy and were either on high chairs or bar area chairs which we found difficult to eat our meals. Meanwhile the breakfast room upstairs was usually half empty with proper dining facilities. It seemed this was only used for the tour parties which was a shame for the rest of us.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, and in a good location for the event I was attending. Plenty of parking.
The window in the room was mouldy and clearly damp. The AC didn't work so the room was too hot and we had to have the fan on all night. The signage is poor to navigate around all the corridors.
