Grounds are beautiful and the hotel is lovely
I must admit, I booked a suite and the room was a little meh in parts. The bathroom style was quite dated, with a shower/bath. The shower head was toggled to the wall making it super tricky to actually wash.
Had two tvs in the room and one I couldn’t get to work. Did mention to reception on the way out but nothing was done to remedy.
The coffee provided was poor, maybe a Nespresso or some other coffee machine could be provided.
Ordered breakfast to the room, no sauces offered or provided. Also the breakfast was super basic.i assumed there would be mushrooms, tomatoes etc. usual additions. But no, only eggs, bacon and sausage. The menu options don’t have these additions either, which is a little surprising.
Do feel the hotel has also missed a trick not offering spa access for free to guests. Shame really. Couldn’t use as I needed to book the day of my departure and the time I could do (and still pop back to my room and change) wasn’t available.
Overall not perfect, but not a poor experience. Just think some minor tweaks could be made to really enhance the experience.

It’s up to date, all facilities working fine.
Warm cookies on arrival were delicious
Complementary drink vouchers for my birthday
Drinks and food were a little expensive but was really nice
The spa had to cancel one of our treatments till the next day was ment to be a couples massage

It was in a lovely setting and great location.
The pillows on the bed were awful, they really need replacing! Nice having a fridge in the room but you could hear the humming through the night which was annoying.

The location of the property was good. Parking excellent. Breakfast good.
I didnt like having the last room down a very long corridor. With being on my own it felt a long way to go. Felt a bit venerable.
The room was very cold over night even though i had the heating on full. Woke up cold both nights.
The bathroom was ok but the tiles were brown on all the grouting. The cleaner left me someone else's face cloth in my bathroom which was not clean. didn't like that at all. The room otherwise was very clean.
If i had been staying on not a work occasion i would have been very disappointed, asked to be moved. I wanted to change rooms but they had a football team checking out late so no other rooms to be available for the night.
