We were informed by reception there was no need to book for restaurant, we went to restaurant at 8pm
It was half empty, a woman said there was no tables available, I spoke to manager who was polite he immediately gave us a table.
The woman who was a waitress was very rude also a bad attitude. All other staff were very polite.

Bar staff weee extremely slow when huge queues for the bar and didn’t seem interested, even checking their phones despite huge queues of people and clearly appearing not bothered

Check in was easy and efficient, Rooms very good with expected provisions with safe (which is a good point) and Hotel was to a nice clean standard. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Car Parking not ideal as first come - first served. We happened to be lucky but not knowing until you arrive effects planning the trip although there was parking in the vicinity. However this means having to recce a number of car parks in advance of the trip just in case no parking is available at the hotel. Unable to comment on food sorry as we ate out.
Small points but downsides - There were no coat hangers in my room - 214 and as always there are never enough milk sachets for drinks.

Really nice hotel, great location, very central. Really professional and friendly staff, lovely breakfast.
The leisure facilities were great, we enjoyed using the pool. Our room was comfortable and clean.
We would definitely return.
The only minor hiccup was when we were checking out we booked a taxi through reception which didnt arrive and we missed our train home.

We came here for the weekend as booked tickets for the Duncan Ferguson evening. We had a fabulous time. The staff on reception were very welcoming. The room was a good size, very clean and the bed very large and comfortable. There was a great choice for breakfast too. We loved our stay!

Seal in our window was very poor so lots of noise disruption during the night which made for a disturbed sleep
