Pleasant
The location was excellent, near the motorway. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool was excellent and clean and it was nice to relax. However it seemed like all the lockers didn’t work as people just left their stuff in open lockers.
The food in the restaurant was limited but I have to say the duck confit was very good indeed.
Unfortunately because of weddings taking place which we were not informed about until our arrival we did not have access to the main bar. We sat down for our dinner and sadly we felt that we were forgotten about. The staff did the best they could but it did feel like wedding bookings took priority. The service was ok with our meal but it could have been so much better as staff were being pulled in every direction.

No phone in room bedside light not working sky light blind close so was awake as soon as it started to cone lite .so not guppy really. I tried calling a few times to change my booking for early check to no answer at all and I left a voice mail not return call and refused early checking as not booked ? I don't think I would stay again

The spa is lovely. It was my favourite part and the main reason for my visit to Crabwell; to de-stress and celebrate my anniversary with my husband.. The sauna is rather tiny but it always seemed to be available to us because people shift between the jaccuzi, the steam room, the sauna and the pool. The pool and spa area is spotless with some nice poolside loungers if you need to have a little rest and just enjoy the atmosphere. The pool has no 'deep end' so you can fully enjoy your time without a lifeguard looking on. My only criticism is that the lockers don't work properly in the changing rooms so I couldn't lock my stuff away safely. Breakfast is good - you have to pay for this as it is not included in your room costs - nice and hot and a good selection of foods. I'm vegetarian and was offered veggie sausages for my cooked breakfast. Bed very comfy and rooms comfortably warm but well ventilated and clean.
Lockers not working in spa.
Bath set very high in our bathroom and I badly bruised the back of my leg on the tiling around the bath getting out as there is no slip mat.

Very limited children's time in pool. The lane rope was in the entire time so I believe children could have been welcomed in more often as adults wanting to swim lengths could have easily used the lane

Adequate parking. Nice swimming pool. Although the towel provided smelt a little weird. No soap in the shower dispenser in pool changing area. Bed comfortable. Big bathtub. Nice towels in en suite.
Dinner wasn’t great. No fish n chips available. We both had sea bass. (Over priced for a small portion). The veg we’d ordered didn’t arrive with the fish. We waited for a while and we told the wrong button had been pressed so kitchen was going to provide a salad. Why is that my fault? We sent the fish back as it was getting cold waiting 15 minutes for the veg. The food was average and expensive. Staff didn’t really own their error. Chairs in dining room much to low for the height of the table. No plug points next to the bed to use to charge mobile devices. No mirrors near power points to blow dry hair etc. No hair dryer in the bedroom. Although plenty of space in the bedroom etc it’s impractical for use by guests. Helpful staff in the gym and spa area. No plain yogurt and a limited amount of fruit available at breakfast. I don’t like cooked breakfast. Staff friendly and pleasant.
