This place was a dream property to stay in, so quintessentially english with so much character in beautiful grounds with lovely hosts. Highly recommend! Breakfast was also lovely and the walk to the lake after breakfast was just perfect

Our car had broken down (we were going to roll it down the hill in the morning to start it), so the owners very kindly lent us one of their cars to enable us to go out to a pub for an evening meal.
Talking of pubs, some excellent and honest recommendations of where to eat locally.
Very good breakfast too, A lovely spot, we'll definitely be back.

Location very quiet, Host Clare is so lovely, accommodation spot on, pub close by can walk to, great food. Irs easy to get into Chester and back. Hope to be back soon. Enjoyed our stay very much Karen and Neil

The breakfast was fabulous. Lovely fresh fruit, yoghurt and homemade granola. Then a great choice of cooked breakfast. Homemade bread and tea/coffee. All served in such a lovely dining room.
Absolutely nothing.
We were so surprised at the size of our room it was huge! Very comfortable bed and great soft pillows. The bathroom was so big and was stocked with complimentary toiletries and lovely fluffy towels. Shower good too and bath if you wanted to use it.

Cottage with character.
Very much like my family home I grew up in .
Welcoming and nice and cosy .
Loved everything about it and would definitely stay again.
