Lovely welcome; walking distance to restaurants and takeaways; quirky decor; plenty of lounge space
We were a bit sensitive to the airfreshener in the reception and hall space but as it didn't get into our room it didn't really matter.
We stayed at the start of April after a couple of warm days and the room felt quite warm (heating was off) so may get very warm in summer.

Carparking was great. Cleanliness of the hotel was superb. Breakfast was excellent. Fixtures, fittings, furniture and decorated to a high standard. Bathroom was great with a large double shower head. On a bus route with a regular service. A fabulous hotel. We would definitely go back

The property was amazing. There was a lovely lounge and at check in we were showed around and there was a room with a coffee machine and extra milk etc. We were also told if we wanted a takeaway to let them know and they would get us plates and cutlery. Nothing was a bother. Staff were amazing

Lots of original features, gorgeous flooring. Really good, large shower.
Great location. Large car park.
There was no bar open when we stayed.

Room was a good size, beds very comfortable, great little extras in the room with hot chocolate, biscuits, crisps, bottle of water and a fridge! Nice touch of little bottle of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion too.
We felt very rushed at breakfast as staff started cleaning up and removing food and drink from 9.55. Breakfast was until 10 but we thought we were able to go down to breakfast until that time, not that we had to be finished by then. Maybe this could have been communicated to us at check in.

The location was great, in a lovely neighborhood, local shops and restaurants very good and easy to get in to Chester centre on foot.
Staff very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious, eggs made to order, plenty of coffee and variety of food on buffet. Lovely, cosy room and clean, neat bathroom. Stylish interior decor and very clean and well equipped.
