Lovely staff. Clean and great location. Nice breakfast.
Bed and pillows too hard for me and the bed was very short so my husband hurt his foot through the night when he banged it ok the spindles at the bottom. Room 17 was also very noisy being next to the road.

Friendly staff and lots of squashy chairs to chill in.
My bedroom was in the attic which was great, quiet and atmospheric but became very hot because I couldn’t open both windows wide.

The Brookside Hotel had almost everything I needed and is in a great location for my solo visit to see my son, who is a student in Chester. Great location, clean and comfy bed with an en suite.
Breakfast was amazing. I went for the light option but that set me up for a whole day of exploring and travel home.
Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful.
A very minor niggle that the car park is not as big as the number of guests in the hotel and I had to park on a residential street. There was space about a 2 min walk away though, it was ok and the streets were quiet at night
A little attention to the shower curtain, could do with a clean or replacement and the towel holder next to the sink came off the wall. Room 5. Tiny little points and none of that spoiled my experience.

Gorgeous old property well maintained. Clean and comfortable. Situated in a beautiful village in a central location. The staff Martin, Jack and Nikki were delightful and exceedingly helpful.

Location was great for access to the town and zoo.
Bed was uncomfortable, pillows very hard. Trouble with toilet flushing. Breakfast was dreadful. Do not recommend eating here.

Disappointing
The room was adequate overall, the food served for breakfast was satisfactory with a reasonable serving. The staff were invariably friendly and helpful – they were excellent. Good location for the town centre - within walking distance.
The allocated bedroom was no19 and it was a disappointing being dowdy looking, needed clean of the pained surfaces, and the carpet didn't fully fit.. It did have standard facilities like TV, storage, and bathroom. I had a couple of complaints that I reported to the Front Desk including a smell of hemp, and also problems getting the shower to deliver both pressure and hot water simultaneously!!
