The main outside space was occupied by a private party. And the noise (I would not call the noise "music" but some people might). So I could not have a quiet drink outside and, upon going to my room, the noise level was such that I could not sleep for HOURS!!!!

Perfect location. Close to river, Roman Gardens and short walk to town and museums etc. Breakfast -first class ,wide selection. It was wife's 80th birthday getaway- there was a bottle of wine in an ice bucket and classes.
There was nothing to dislike.

Great location, staff very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty with choice of sitting outside as the weather was good. Room was very nice, shower slightly small but I am a physique athlete.
Only thing was my room was right at the top and the stairs were or could be testing for elderly.

Superb location and the beds were clean and comfortable.
Could have done with a second toilet with the 8 of us staying in the party pad.

It was a lovely hotel for a nice price, especially with it being such a great location. Staff were friendly and welcoming. 'Best breakfast in Chester' the staff told me, they weren't lying. Very nice.
Only thing my partner wasn't a big fan of was the sink at the back of the toilet. My partner is a big lad and stuggled getting to it, but I didn't mind it too much.

£145 for a box room and no breakfast included. I understand the races were on, but breakfast should be a must at that price in a box room.
