Bowman Lodge is a family-run guest house in the historic city of Chester. Wonderful
My room was lovely, comfortable, nicely decorated and very quiet. The location of the room at the backside allowed me the privacy to do work (writing). The lodge was in a good location for finding places to shop and dine - as well as for hopping local buses to get around.
Everything was suited my needs. Mike, the host is very kind and very helpful !

Great location, rooms were very spacious and beds comfy. Showers had really good pressure and temperature. Host was very nice and welcoming. I would most definitely be using this lodge if I’m ever back in the area.

Friendly owner. The room was clean.
The room and its fittings were in need of refurbishment, including the TV. The mattress was adequate but could have been more comfortable. The quilt was thin and combined with no heating on at night - it was not particularly warm.

Disappointing
The location was ok (good breakfast across the road, and roughly 10 mins walk to the canal, where you could continue your walk along the towpath into the heart of Chester).
Not very clean (bedding was clean but there was gunk on the bathroom walls and a hair that wasn’t ours). The heating system was out of our control too, which I thought was a bit tight.

room is super clean and everything in place. For me the location was perfect for work. Had a evening meal and again was spot on, no long wait and just what I needed. Checked in and asked if I could have a table for 1, got told sorry nothing available till 18.30. Ok that's no problem at all. When to me room to chill for halt an hour, for a knock on my room door.? Opened it to find one of the waiters telling me that they had a table for me now if I wanted. To me this is perfect customer service and great to hear.
Shower pressure a little low but nothing to write home about.

Good location,to the small shopping centre in Hool village. And 20 minutes walk to the city centre. Mike. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Room was warm when radiator was on , and plenty of hot water.
The room is outdated, old looking, tierd and in need of redoing.

Disappointing
It’s close proximity to the town Center, you can walk it in 20/30 minutes if you’re fit.
There was no breakfast option, but there was a pub directly opposite that served food, including breakfast.
