Exceptional
Super clean and comfortable, friendly helpful staff, great value for money. Would definitely stay again.
Being very picky no aircon on a very hot evening but we were able to open windows without being disturbed by outside noise.

Disappointing
Staff are the stand out here. Every member of staff is very helpful, friendly and welcoming across all parts of the hotel and certainly make you feel welcome.
The rooms themselves are very tired, old stained carpets, tired rooms, lack of aircon too so was quite a warm room to stay in.
Unfortunately the cleaning chemicals used make the rooms smell of industrial strength cleaner so needed to air the room quite a bit.

The location was ideal for our needs. Staff were friendly on arrival, warm vibes in and around hotel. Hotel is ideally placed for exploring North Wales and Cheshire
The hotel looks tired in places and a little dated. There was no bottled water in the rooms, and shower was intermittent. The hotel accepts coach parties so hotel can be very busy with more senior guests.

Spacious bedroom and modern bathroom. Lovely reception area
No lift, full of coach parties, breakfast area large and like a school dining room, could have done with a few extra soft furnishings to soften it. Only 1 pack of biscuits on tea/coffee tray, but it was a double room.

Almost everything,we stay there a few times a year when visoting family.
Our room was the same as when they opened 40 odd years ago,very old fashioned,that said,it is difficult to upgrade a property of this size all at once and most of the rooms and communal areas have been updated regularly.

It was a nice hotel overall, it had everything I needed (A place to sleep and get ready for work).
This hotel would probably be nice if you are staying with friends or for leisure. I was staying alone for work in the area.
The bed was very worn out. I have bruises on my back from the springs. The walls are so thin, all I could hear was my neighbours talking all night. I wouldn't want to ask them to be quiet as they are just enjoying themselves.
The staff were gathered outside my room one morning having a chat and laughing. I had to come out and say it was a little too loud which was really hard for me. They disappeared and returned five minutes later doing it again.
A staff member randomly knocked on my door and then when I answered just said I was fine and could go away with no explanation. There is the constant slamming of doors which I think is people just letting them close behind them. But when the cleaning staff are going in and out of rooms to service them. The slamming becomes a lot. This is not a safe space for someone with anxiety or social anxiety. They didn't seem to know if my room was occupied or not which is why someone was knocking but surely there is a database that can tell you this instead of disturbing the person.
There is also nothing in the area. If you want food that isn't hotel food it's a long walk, which is fine for some. I was here for work so I didn't want to eat at the hotel every night. The signal is really bad and so is the WiFi so I couldn't get much done from there.
