Continenal Breakfast should have had more I order porridge but had to pay more if I wanted toast. The waitress very pleasant

Location is great and the room was comfortable
Paid for breakfast but this was only continental, anything cooked was extra which felt unreasonable given the cost of the room. I don’t recall this being stated at the time of booking. The choice of continental too was fairly naff.

Lovely clean hotel with comfortable beds and fabulous location. Lovely bar area on top floor with great views.
I thought the lift pass was quite inconvenient especially when we came as a family and were put on 3 separate levels, therefore needing to ask for another pass in order to meet my elderly parents at their rooms on another level . I think the check-in staff could accommodate a little better knowing this .
The menu for lunch/evening meal could be better with more options as there wasn't much choice suitable for a lunch on there , no sandwiches etc, therefore we ate out more at great pubs/restaurants around Chester.

I really liked the view, and the bed was comfortable too.
The TV was really old, and since it wasn’t a smart TV, we couldn’t watch any movies on it, which was pretty disappointing. The bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working properly, so the whole room filled with steam. The ceiling was in poor condition, with visible water marks, and the paint above the shower was peeling. One of the pendant lights was also flickering.

Didn’t recognise that I had paid for a full English breakfast with my room rate! I was offered a small continental breakfast but that was all. I complained to receptionist staff and showed them my booking which included a full breakfast but they would not honour it. I will not be staying here again or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lovely , clean room, excellent location for town. Bathroom up to date with lovely toiletries.
Breakfast was lovely but small for the cost. One selection for the continental breakfast was meagre.

Everything was as one expects. It does seem a shame the capitalism has rendered occupants of a hotel having to pay additional fees for water, but alas, that’s is where we are
