The location was good as we didn't mind the short walk in to the centre of Brighton. Charming property and looks good. Unmanned property but the communication regarding self check in was simple and easy.
The shower was very intermittent and went from ice cold to scolding hot. Otherwise no real issues

Amazing room as shown! The bath was pure bliss! It's really quiet and very clean. GREAT, WONDERFUL experience. Will definitely go again!
Maybe some toiletries in the room wood have been nice but it didn't matter as we improvised and had taken some ourselves.

The hotel is in a beautiful location.
The room was rather poorly maintained. The power shower didn't work properly as there was an issue with the water pressure so we weren't able to have a shower, despite a few attempts. There was an awful gutter smell in the bathroom and the interior was basic and not very clean either.

Disappointing
It was quiet.
The room desperately needs refurbished. The walls were badly marked and there were chips to the woodwork. There was no curtain on one of the windows. It was small so I was able to cover it with spare pilows. The door to the shower unit was at an awkward angle that made it difficult to get in and out of the shower. There was a door from the kitchenette to a grotty back yard area. The door itself was not fitted correctly to the door frame which made me feel a bit unsafe in the room. I put one of the dining chairs against it to make me feel better. It was a basement studio and the bedroom part of it felt like a cell. Some art on the wall might cheer it up a bit. The fabric headboard was marked. It was ok for a couple of nights but I couldn't really recommend it.

It was clean and tidy. Good location and easy entry into the property. I asked for extra pillows which were provided.
The shower head didn't work well and the water went hot and cold whilst in the shower.

Felt very safe, was really comfortable. Great fast WiFi. Loved the bath.
The only issue I had was that the bedroom is right next to the front door of the building, which slams really loud each time people came in, meaning when people came in throughout the night it would wake me. Nothing to be done but just a bit inconvenient! Nevertheless great room!

Disappointing
Good location. Easy self check in.
Our room was next to the road and very noisy. There were ear plugs provided but really this should be upfront in the hotel ad. There were large windows with inadequate curtains. They will badly fitting with a large patch we couldn’t cover that directly shone light onto the pillows. Recommend fitting blackout blinds that actually fit. The bathroom was really badly fitted with random holes in the walls, bad tiling, dirty floor. The water pressure was very low and in the shower the water kept going hot and cold. Bed was uncomfortable.
