Poor
The location with good, access to everything as on your doorstep
Booked through Booking.com together. 2 rooms, due to this we expected the room to be at least on the same floor. You could get further away from each other.
The curtains were hanging off the rails, the bedding was dirty and the room looked very tired.
My sons room was the complete opposite, beautifully decorated, you could tell it had been recently renovated.
I called beforehand regarding their car park, was told to arrive and if there were spaces we could use them. When we arrived there were at least 5 spaces available, however was told that we couldnt use them and no reason given. Had to use the NCP car park opposite. Well for 32 for less than 24 hour was a bit shocking.
Spoke to the manager regarding our issues and he was very apologetic and explained that the hotel is having a complete revamp next year and he acknowledged that the room are outdated.
All in all I probably wouldnt go back, but would love to see it when the revamp is completed.

Pleasant
Cleanliness of the tables never wipe down with detergent or biological spray, such a shame following Covid, it would seem all hygiene has laxed

Quaint look and feel, excellent location, fantastic staff
Could maybe do with a little modernisation, especially the lift, but nothing else.

Great location right on the beach and close to multiple meal options. Harry in the parking garage provided friendly and excellent service
Nothing really, but the hotel is quite old and could do with a refresh

Staff were very friendly and very nice. Especially the doorman.
Great location.
A nice hotel
The bedroom was a little tired and could do with a bit of tlc. Damaged door, paint chipped, black mould in the bathroom and carpet warn in places. Bed was small but comfortable.
Pre warning that the bins get moved at 7.30am would have also been nice. Also, no water in the rooms.

The location was perfect.
The dining room staff were not really on the ball and we were shown to a table that they had already given to someone who had gone to the buffet. So we had to find another table. We had to ask for coffee and wanting a jug of hot milk and one of cold milk was challenging. Some of the cutlery on the table wasnt clean.
The bar staff were very helpful and offered us a jug of iced water when we asked both evenings.

The location of the hotel
The hotel wasn't clean at all
The breakfast doesn't include any good varieties
The floors though were covered by carpet in the room yet, they were too much broken up . I have a disability and the floors were too difficult to walk on

Poor
Near to Chalk the venue we were attending for a gig.
No air conditioning & our room was stiflingly hot. Whilst the window did open 3 inches Brighton seafront is so noisy with revellers & traffic until well into the early hours you cannot have the window open. Even then the sound of traffic, shouting & breaking glass permeated through the double glazing to keep us awake for most of the night whilst we sweltered in the heat.
