Since coming back in December 2022, the staff have been the most informative and genuine the most kindest people ever. They made my birthday 100x greater than great. For example the employee who remembered me from my last visit, to Amy to everyone who works there

Comfortable room although side bathroom wall was extremely hot (assuming hot water pipes were housed behind without ant insulation - possible H&S issue??)
Had a dispute over room charge - I had booked through Booking.com on Friday 24th having thought the rate was reasonable only to see the same room offered on your own website the next day at over £100 cheaper!! Cancellation conditions were in place (up to midnight on the 24th - I had previously stayed before with cancellation up to 24 hours from reserved date) so I requested, through Booking.com, on the Saturday afternoon to yourselves to make an exception regarding the charge so that I could benefit from the cheaper rate. Your response did not come back until around 14:30 on the Sunday as I was travelling to Brighton - very disappointed with the delay and response!!

We loved checking in. Lilly, at the reception desk, was so lovely. Really accomodating and engaging. The attention to detail of things in the room were really lovely and made a difference. Loved that steamer in the room! The building was beyond beautiful, I had wondered if things may look a little tired or dated inside but this wasn't the case. We did become a little bit obsessed with the staircase because it was so lovely!
None of the staff were rude but it was really obvious that the front of house male staff were less friendly than the female staff. We had never encountered that before and were unsure why it was.
