The staff on check-in were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also one of the few central hotels on have onsite parking (although it's small carpark - first come first serve)
We had a basic room which was quiet small and had an iron burn on the carpet. Biggest issue was accessing a plug socket which was tucked away behind the hanging rail. The only other option was near the door, but that meant leaving items where they could get stood on.
Would also recommend getting to breakfast early. On the first day we arrived 30 minutes before the close and the hot buffet was pretty empty and didn't get refilled, on the second day they ran out of pastries. The staff in the breakfast room seemed particularly grumpy.

The hotel was right on the front. We had the most fabulous room with a lovely see view. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice.
My only criticism was breakfast time in that tables weren't readily available at the busiest times.

The hotel is so old. No proper explanation how to find the room in this maze.The lifts didn’t work at all. Toilet in the room was blocked so I need to come down to the hall toilet. Seriously ? for the £200 per night?
