The room was quite lovely and spacious, with a great view. Breakfast was great. Good variety and decent value. The staff was extremely friendly. It's a beautiful, old, seaside hotel that is now owned by an international chain.
We were told the room had a king size bed. It was definitely a queen size, but it appears the hotel doesn't really have king beds. We would likely have chosen a less costly room had we known. I understand the building not being equipped with air conditioning, but most of the windows were painted shut, and the one that did open was chained in such a way that we could not get much ventilation in a south facing room. I guess I expected a bit more since the Marriott chain took over the property.

I don't know why this a 3 Star, it deserves 4.
It's spotlessly clean. The Staff are friendly and helpful.
The location, on the seafront is amazing. Walking distance to many nice things to do.
The room was warm but airy. Great size, clean....and generally quiet (it's just I was there on NYE so bound to be slightly noisier)
Dog friendly option was perfect. Breakfast was delish.
I literally can't fault it.
There was nothing I disliked about this hotel
However, a couple of details that could have made it more perfect.
A couple of coat hooks on the door or wall.
A biscuit with the tea and coffee making facilities.

Like the fact that there is a resident bar.
Having used this hotel, we were extremely disappointed with the breakfast. We paid £12.50 each for one mornings breakfast, however it was an absolute rip off. The cooked option was not only like warm but there were only 3 sausages in the serving tray, a few pieces of dried out bacon, cold beans & dry scrambled egg . In the past we have had a menu choice, the self service really needs looking at.
We pointed out our disappointment upon check out but did not receive any feedback. I really am at a loss as to how we were charged £25 for such an appalling offering .
Such a shame, the hotel is so worthy of a 10/10, hence why we are repeat guests

The room they was give it to me was different from the picture in your site, they give small and bad room they have
That mean the pic in the booking side it’s different than what they give me ,, so I paid 100 £ to take other room

Location of hotel was great! Close to everything you want to see within walking distances. I booked one of the sea view rooms and the view was amazing. You can see Brighton pier, i360 and the beautiful bandstand.
The lift was small and very slow. The TV blocks the window view to outside. It should be moved to a mount on the wall. The windows are old. Very loud when it’s windy. They should consider putting in a roof deck bar or restaurant for nice days/sunsets.

Reception and bar was pleasant. Staff were definitely good and attentive. Location was perfect. The breakfast was no frills but good.
Room was OK, reminiscent of old fashioned Blackpool hotels once you were past reception. The noise from people smoking, talking and singing in the courtyard at the back till around midnight was less than optimal (I was in room 129) - but lets put that down to people enjoying their hols.

Good location and staff was very helpful.
Breakfast is a joke and NOT worth the price. Our room was noisy as you could hear the elevator moving and other guests walking in the middle of the night. Room was lacking a fridge and any love in general.

Pleasant
Great location, close to beach, Brighton I 360 and Upside Down House. Breakfast was convenient. Staff was friendly.
Room was hot and there was no fan/ or AC in the room. Parking situation was not ideal ( we had to find our own parking solution because the parking was full )
