Freshly re- furnished and was clean and tidy.
The air con was being replaced and the room was too hot. I was unable to sleep well. I was not informed before arrival and had no opportunity to cancel. I would like compensation.

Not much considering it’s a premium hotel on sea front. Only thing was the 1 member of staff Fiona let us store some food in there chiller but when we collected in morning boxes of Indian sweets they were all wet and damaged they were gifts to give to guests we had to bring them home and bin over £300 of food
The property was stuck in 1980’s , no ac not working, broken toilet seat, no view like requested, no accessible room as requested had 2 guests with mobility issues, service poor only 1 member of staff on front desk took nearly 2 hours to check in

It’s well localised
I didn’t like that I rented two rooms with two beds because I came with my family, my daughters and grandmother and when we arrived we were provided with two rooms with a single bed, we slept super uncomfortable because I have a small daughter, apart from that I received an email saying that the air conditioning was damaged just after making the reservation, I paid 313 pounds for one night and everything to sleep uncomfortable

It was in a great location overlooking the promenade
Dreadful car parking. We had to block the car next to us in so we could park. The lights also didn’t come on until you were well into the car park so as a women it didn’t feel safe in the dark.
Reception staff on check in were rude. She told me she’d look at reducing our hotel cost as I am an IHG member, then charged us the full cost and snapped when I questioned it saying she’d already given me reduced parking.
The breakfast was basic and the food was cold.
Worst of all however, there was no air conditioning in the room. We were told at check in that we had been informed previously. When I checked the app later, it appeared that we had received a message on the day of travel so certainly not enough time to change arrangements as we travelled from Yorkshire which took 8 hours. The reception said we could open a windows but the window only opened fractionally and overlooked the main street which was noisy at night. We had a fan in the room but it blew warm air. Both nights I woke up with a bad headache due to the heat.
The hotel cost us over £500 for two nights. It was not good value for money and we were very disappointed.
I stay in IHG hotels fairly frequently and they are usually decent.

Got to check bags in Early and it was easy all staff were friendly and helpful
No working air con in room but a fan was provided i received a email telling me the next morning that i could cancel the booking over 12 hours after the booking started because of the air con problem and there was some dodgy looking stains on the carpet and the window on the room witch was rear facing was coved in seagull droppings not a good look

There was no air con and the room was very hot. I was told about this but it was too late to book anywhere else. The fan in the room had very little effect. Not sure why they chose the height of summer to work on upgrading the air conditioning

All staff we encountered were great - polite, helpful and friendly.
No air con in room - was only notified that their systems were being updated via an email on the morning we were due to stay - so unable to cancel and seek somewhere else. Shower made an awful clunking noise when in use. Minimal disabled parking and no option to book in advance. Underground parking seriously needs looking into. Poor lighting, narrow bays not helped by supporting columns which meant a risk of damage to anything other than a small car if attempting to park. Two bays between each column in reality equals one space. I actually witnessed some poor punter trying to reverse park and crunching their car!

The air conditioning in the hotel was not working due to some maintenance, but that was not mentioned, when I was booking. It was advertised as the room with air conditioning.

The staff were pleasant enough and location was excellent
The AC in the hotel wasn’t working it would’ve been good to be told about this prior to our visit as we wouldn’t have stayed here. Considering we only stayed for one night was disappointing to receive a notification the morning of our checkout advising of the AC issues.
The room was a decent size but there was a terrible smell in the room
The hotel is a bit tired and could do with some TLC
Wouldn’t stay here again until they’ve had a proper upgrade
