Checking long, confusion when room would be cleaned (stayed 4 nights), swimming pool small and shallow. Shower pressure not great.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The room was nicely decorated and was comfortable.
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice of hot and cold dishes.
Very small bathroom - very difficult to move around in and nowhere to put a toiletries bag other than on the floor.
£29 for 24 hours parking seemed high but I guess that's Brighton for you.

Excellent location, very clean and tidy
My room had no view. The light was poor and it was dark. In the room no fridge, no biscuits the configuration was odd with the tv at the side not full on. I was a bit underwhelmed

Location is probably the strongest point of this hotel — right on the seafront. The staff are very welcoming.
The room I booked was not available for reasons beyond their control, but they offered me an upgrade the next day. This is really how businesses should handle situations like this.
Their cookies made my day:D
It was a bit unexpected that a hotel of this level didn’t have a heating system.

I liked the exceptional helpful staff and the cookies we got :-) The swimming pool was also a great asset.
I dit not like that there was no power outlet in the bathroom, that should be a standard in hotel of this range.

Disappointing
Overall, the stay was disappointing. Several pillowcases had visible brown and grey stains, which raised concerns about the standard of cleanliness. Before arriving, I specifically asked whether the pool needed to be reserved. Although the hotel replied to my message, they did not answer this question. At check-in, I was told that advance booking was required, but the suitable adults-only sessions were already unavailable. I therefore had to attend during a children’s session, and as there is only one relatively small pool for such a large hotel, it was too busy to swim properly. Better cleanliness and clearer communication about leisure reservations are needed.

- The room was lovely.
- Checked in very quickly.
- Staff are generally welcoming.
- The location and facilities of the hotel, including the Gym and the pool, are great.
- The light in the room wasn't working.
- No fridge in the room despite booking a very big room.
- Check-in time on the booking is at 1600, and check-out is at 1100, which seems quite unfair.
