The room was pleasant and comfortable, if rather small. Having a sea view was good. The spa was a welcome bonus.
It was a pity that the bar wasn’t available due to a private function. This is disappointing given the price of the hotel. Lack of a minibar in the room was also a slight disappointment. I felt that the hotel lacked real style and didn’t live up to its former reputation and there may be better options at the price.

Lovely sea front location and beautiful Victorian architecture
The room was a standard and as such facing inside. Therefore the window was frosted and didn't open along it feels quite dark

Location was really good. and room was just what we wanted.
The first night we stayed, we did not get any sleep due to a dog barking next door, we also so had a meal in the hotel restaurant on the Friday night. I had a pizza which was ok but only just warm. My wife had a curry which see said was like a £2.99 one you could buy in the shop.
I did say I would complain but my wife asked me not to till we were leaving.
Did write to them and they come back with let us know when you next stay and we will try and make it better.
