Lovely hotel with a beautiful winding staircase. The building is stunning. People complain about no lift but in such an old building it shouldn’t be expected.

Property was warm welcoming and clean, location was fabulous the rooms absolutely lovely, bed were very comfy, only beds I can compare to were the Sofitel who has soft squishy beds with lovely 100cotton bedding. Only down side was no hairdryer but didn’t matter

Lovely old building with original sweeping spiral staircase. Lots of original features and the property has been sensitively adapted for guests.
Very friendly, helpful staff and the owner was very accommodating and affable.

Wonderful
The quality of the room was lovely, with a really comfortable bed and great bedding. Loved the balcony with the pull down steps. Great view of the beach and pier from the balcony. All the staff were really friendly too.. it was very convenient to get a parking space in front of the hotel.
There really are a lot of stairs! Room was worth it when you got there, though.

Good location, very helpful staff
Found hairs in room on arrival - reception were informed. Non-existent sound-proofing (we were in room 16 - avoid). Kept awake by room above on our first night. Staff kindly let us move rooms on the second night and waived breakfast costs, but even then the price was certainly not justified - the basics just weren’t covered. Dated interiors, worn carpets, room not clean on arrival, and terrible noise from other rooms. We didn’t sleep very well as a result.
Really disappointed with our stay at this hotel.

We’ve stayed several times before, always with a sea view room, this one was the smallest room we have stayed in. The bathroom was extremely tiny.

The breakfast was good, the view, the bath, the view from the bedroom was lovely. The quality of the products for shower, bath.. my partner and me loved the quality and smell, really nice
The pillows and the size of the bedrooms and halls (I expected to have a bigger bedroom) also having a specific space for the kettle not behind a curtain. Apart of that I think the rest the things were okay.
