Front in darkness and looked closed. Parking is tricky. No staff on reception upon arrival but very welcoming once arrived. Room basic but mattress protector not clean!

It's not perfect but it's very good value,I paid £66 each for 2 rooms on a Thursday night..received a very friendly and helpful welcome,room was big,bed was comfortable,right on the sea front
Reading other previous reviews that said it was very loud at night,due to there being a bar downstairs,I can confirm there is no longer a bar or restaurant at the hotel,so we had a peaceful nights sleep
There is no free parking,at reception you need to pay £8.50 for a permit to park on the streets nearby,I was lucky enough to get a space on the same road as the hotel but you may have to drive round a bit...there is also no breakfast,the shower is basic,not very powerful

Original room flooded, and did not smell good. They changed rooms for us quickly so not a massive issue.
Also worth noting there's a nightclub next door that goes until very late.

Paid the hotel for parking, checked out at 8am to find a parking ticket on my vehicle, when back to the hotel and they have done nothing, giving them 2 more days before I take the matter further, really spoilt my stay

Lovely simple hotel in a great position. Spacious room with aomfy bed, very helpful staff, clean room, sea view. Noisy at night so ask for a room at the back. Perfect for a budget break.

We specifically booked this property as it says there is a bar - there is not!! It also looked very modern in the pictures - it was not! Property extremely dated and run down! Think the pictures are totally misleading!

Disappointing
The Amsterdam is in a very good location and the staff were friendly enough. I was surprised that it was a single bed but it was clean and comfortable. It had everything you need with the room and the Wi-Fi worked very well.
The room was too small and the floor didn't have carpet, which is fine but, it would be nice if the floor was washed as it was a bit sticky. The bathroom, although clean, was a toilet and a sink, basically taking up the same space. I had to bend around the sink to sit on the toilet! No bath but a shower which didn't seem to be adjustable, had little or not enough pressure and was really hot... too hot. My 'room' or 'cupboard' as I called it, was on floor 4 and the lift only went to floor 3. It was just somewhere to sleep for one night and really I suppose you get what you pay for, which I still think it was over priced for what I got. There was no breakfast included. I usually stay at the Queens hotel, a little more expensive but more for your money!

Good sized room with a comfortable bed
Very noisy location. Toilet seat would not stay up. Water only came out of some of the shower so it was hard to get properly wet all over.
Very untidy at the front because of a refurbishment according to the notice but nothing seemed to be happening.

Fixtures and fittings. Some things worked and were fit for purpose and others were not.
Some lights didn't work. The remote to the tv was intermittent. Water taps need a plumber.
