Good facilities, comfy beds.
Fire alarm when we arrived, we were staying for a wedding nearby so we were dressed up in the bar having a drink, had to walk for a while to get to the exit point, I understand it needs doing but there was no organisation and was a complete inconvenience. Staff always seemed rude. I asked about the driving range for the next day and was told it was okay to turn up so I did and it turns out it was closed for a private event, so clearly no communication or knowledge.

Location is great as going to the zoo the day after
Cleaning maids who knocked on twice , one was about to walk in , apparently they had been told e had left already and this was not the case as we had a club room booked until 12 noon - the check in staff were not really that helpful either , I appreciate It’s self check in but they could have been a bit more helpful

Room was dated and lacked the 4 star that you are. Might of just been put in a lesser room but normally when I stay at village the rooms are lovely and luxurious this room wasn’t room 302

My room although clean and comfortable was very noisy with loud banging through the night. Sounded like poor pipe work.

Disappointing
Location was perfect for us. The bed was comfy although the pillows were too soft for my partner and it would have been nice to have additional pillows in the room should you need them. Nice to have coffee and tea facilities in the room and the Shower was amazing
Firstly, the lack of anyone on reception. We did arrive late in the evening and had to check ourselves in. When we got to our room it was unbearably hot. There is no phone in the room to call maintenance or room service and I tried to use the Whatsapp chat but was told I had to call the hotel. We dialled the hotel but it was an automated system that just took us round the houses and never gave us an option to speak to someone. In the end my husband had to walk downstairs to reception (at almost midnight) and try to locate a member of staff. He eventually found someone who said they would send maintenance up to our room. This took an additional 20mins or more and he sorted out the heating and the light issue we also had.
The room smelt very damp and I think this is due to there being no extractor in the bathrooms.
My husband went to use the leisure facilities the next morning but the pool was full of families with children until around 11am and after that it was full of women doing aerobics until midday. The steam room and sauna was also very busy during this time so he didnt really get to use the facilities.
The room we were in, as mentioned before, was unbearably hot so we tried to open the window however, our room must have been over or nearby to the bar & grill as all we could hear with the window open was the humming of a generator or ventilation system so we had to close the window. Luckily the room was provided with two desk fans.
We stayed at the hotel about a year maybe two years ago and could not fault it which is why we chose to return however, for the cost of £115.00 per night - we won't be returning.
