Poor
Room was clean.
No soundproofing, hear every word people in room 4 saying plus hear them snoring not good.
Rooms only partioned off with plasterboard virtually no privacy.

Wonderful
All was good. Ideal location. Good host.
Slept well.
We had to park a good few streets away but that's our only complaint.

Very Good
Clean, warm, good access, cheap parking
A little far out for what we wanted, but for a family with children would be perfect

Wonderful
Friendly, welcoming, informative host. The hotel in general was warm, well presented and clean and in a great location. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, the cooked breakfast was lovely, there was also cereal, pancakes and toast. The rooms were lovely and warm for our arrival which was great after a day at the pleasure beach in autumn. The beds had clean, fresh, soft bedding and we were provided with fresh towels. Tea/coffee facilities, good sized TV, heater and fan in the rooms. We had 2 rooms, the bed in my room was very comfortable with a supportive mattress. However the bed in the 2nd room wasn't as firm and less supportive. Our rooms were small and cosy but we didn't require big spacious rooms. There was very little to no noise from any neighbouring rooms. There was a pool table to use downstairs and a bar that opened on certain days. Free WiFi with a code in the lobby. We had a view of the tower from both rooms. There is parking to the rear however we needed it for a longer period so we parked in St Cuthbert's carpark just at the top of the street and to the left, which was handy. The pricing of our rooms was very reasonable and definitely worth the money. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
There's nothing that would put me off returning. The bathroom maybe wasn't to the standard we are used to but nothing a little tlc wouldn't fix. We didn't feel the need to report anything as it didn't affect our stay.

Lovely little hotel in a good location
About a 20-minute walk to the tower
Or you can get the tram at the bottom of the street (a few quid for a day ticket)
It's got a big and very popular looking fish shop, eat in or takeaway at end of street too
Along with a grill type place next door
Other end of the street, there's convenience shops so not far if you need anything.
The owner was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful
We had a double room, which was clean with lovely clean white bedding and towels
My only little criticism is,well, more of a recommendation is for a little slimline dressing table/shelf near the mirror (it's a woman thing but needed for hairdryer, etc)as i had nowhere to put my straighteners while doing my hair but apart from that it was lovely.
There's a lovely little bar area downstairs
With a pool table and a little kids pool table too, which i thought was a lovely, thoughtful little touch for the kids, along with a massive box of Lego and Lego table
A couple of bandits and large tele.
We didn't have the breakfast but the breakfast room looked very nice.
I definitely recommend this little hotel
And definitely will return.
Thank you x

Getting into Carpark is a little tight, which it does state, but that won't put me off returning..
