Disappointing
The room was massive and clean apart from a few flys in the bathroom… the staff was helpful and pleasant
The entertainment was far too loud we was 3 floors up and our room was bouncing with the base of the music we could hear the singer word for word definitely not a hotel for a young family. The main bed was so uncomfortable the mattress was like sleeping on wood.

The breakfast was good and the serving staff were excellent and attentive.
The property is not a patch on what it used to be. Our bedroom was very small. ( this was an upgrade) The furniture was old and not adequate for even our short stay. The small light above the bed was obviously broken, and hanging by one screw. The windows had roller blinds on them, one purple and one cream. There were no curtains to help block out the street lights. They did not even match. The smoke alarm had been taken off and not replaced. The bath did not have a plug, so no bath and there was no blind or any covering on the bathroom window,
The decor was plain white with not even one picture to make it more homely.
We have stayed here before but we’re very dissatisfied and disappointed this time.

The staff were friendly and helpful
Firstly it was not the room we had booked and payed for and was told we couldn’t have another. There were no chairs or a table just a double bed a set of bunk beds and a pull down bed where the mattress was so thin you practically fell through it when you sat on it this was supposed to be a family room .This property was not at all cleaned the room hadn’t been touched before we went into it with fluff and bits of paper on the floor the windows were dirty (I cleaned them myself) there were little tiny flies everywhere all the time, when asked if they could do something about it we were told he didn’t have anything in his stores to deal with it ( I would have thought a walk down to the local shop might have solved the problem). The woman that manned the reception was also the barmaid so people had to stand for ages to get a drink or be seen at reception totally unacceptable

Very good location, lovely breakfast. Size of room was great.
Room needed a bit of TLC & attention to detail to make the stay exceptional but this was fed back on checkout. No notice of needing to book parking, but alternative options were easy to locate.

The accommodation was in the area
I needed to be.
The room was tired. Veneer on the bedside cabinet had been peeled away. The carpet between the bedroom and bathroom was frayed. The bedding and towels, although appeared clean had an awful odor. The sink in the bathroom was so big it prevented access to the toilet on the left and shower to the right. Blood staining on the paintwork inside the bathroom. The doorframe into the bathroom had a protruding nail. Very poor shower pressure.
Slept on top of the bed with my jacket as a cover.
