On Queen’s Promenade with fantastic views of the Irish Sea, The Doric offers locally sourced, fresh food, 2 swimming pools and a spa tub. There is free parking available on site. Wonderful
Very clean, & helpful staff, especially Louise in the restaurant. Very nice evening meal & breakfast.
Lack of parking space, luckily managed to park up on a side street 5 mins walk away. Uncomfortable springy mattress.

The water in the shower was hot. And the room had some character and charm even if small. Glad there was two lifts. Location was ok- very close to the tram station and nice to be by the sea. Staff was friendly and it was a good price.
I didn’t love how small the parking lot was. But I did find free street parking outside. Pool / spa was a bit run down and outdated. Very small and was 3 foot deep which is very shallow. The bed could have been more comfortable but it was fine. Didn’t like the fresh bed sheets being stored in the narrow hallway while you try to drag your suitcase to the lift.

Staff were all extremely friendly, without exception. Room clean, service good. Paid extra for the room to be done up with banners, balloons etc for mums birthday and this was done so well, very much appreciated.
1. Having to hand over my car keys 2. Having to pay £100 damage deposit on arrival 3. 28 minute walk to the main attractions 4. Food in the restaurant wasn't great and heard one server telling a guest to have the soup as that's fresh while everything else is brought in frozen.

The room Was clean and reception area nice and presentable
It would have been nice to have been shown where the amenities were. Eg the pool area Wasn’t happy with the £50.00 we had to pay as leverage for both nights we were there £100 for two nights. Thought the £50.00 was for entire stay. You work out a budget for going away and paying the leverage lowers your spending. I mentioned we had disabilities when I booked, yet they gave us a room with shower in bath that we couldn’t use. If I had known some of the rooms had been updated I wouldn’t have asked for one. Not enough plug sockets and one didn’t work at all. Rust around handrail in bathroom and shoddy decorating
