Very Good
The location was perfect for us, being right next to the Pleasure Beach, trams and railway station. The room was also perfect - the grandchildren (6 & 8) had their own little area with a bunk bed, and although it didn't have a sea view, it looked out directly over the Pleasure Beach attraction, which was great for the grandchildren. The staff were very helpful, going out of their way to give us information about the Pleasure Beach and how to get into it via the VIP entrance next to the hotel. Breakfast was good.
There were a few minor things about the room that could have been better. We thought for the price they might have provided bottled water. We couldn't get the children's TV to work and the main TV only had terrestrial channels. There was no hose attachment to the shower, and the towel rail was fixed with gaffer tape.
The main gripe was that the service in the dining room for the evening meal was rather slow. For the dessert, it was very slow, and we had to ask in the end what was happening because it was getting past the children's bedtime and we wanted to go out and see the illuminations. The manager did come and apologise, and made a small reduction to our bill.

Easy check-in and check-out, the fact we were upgraded on arrival was a nice surprise, nice breakfast, plentiful parking, good location, nice and friendly staff.
The room looked a little tired, the bath didn't drain quickly and it's unpleasant having to stand in standing water. Toilet didn't always flush on first, second or third pump. The toilet paper was not of good quality and so didn't go far, meaning you needed more and you're only provided with 3 rolls... not enough. Only 4 tissues provided in the tissue box. Front doors slam closed so didn't get much sleep due to guests going in and out. The bathroom door was incredibly hard to open once closed. No details/menu in the room showing that room service is available. We had to check online, which some guests may not bother doing. It would have been nice to have a little table in the room so we didn't have to eat on the bed. The TV the playstation was plugged into didn't work. Poorly designed towel rail, your towel slips off it onto the floor or onto the bin that's placed underneath. The thermostat in the room is probably about 5 degrees out. But a lot of these are minor points and would definitely not put me off staying again... In a different room :)

The staff including housekeeping was very friendly and had a huge smile on their faces! The beds was very comfy and it was all out a pleasant stay! Had a lovely view of the pleasure beach aswell. Was upgraded to a family room which was a little bit more room and was very nice of them to upgrade us for free!
Lifts was very small, could only just about maybe fit a pram in it, the breakfast was also very basic, i was expecting a little bit more options, however besides that all a pleasant stay

Hotel was amazing clean and tidy Stuart reception manager lovely guy Damien restaurant always as happy as always remembered us from last stay breakfast was quite poor but was down to short staffed and a full house for breakfast being day after lights switch on. Overall an amazing stay again can't wait to go back in Oct

Could do with updating, previously stayed over 8 years ago and nothing has been updated or changed since. Rooms could do with a refresh, playstation 3 in the children's room did not work and very outdated for the price paid.

Everything was expected. Nice little bonus of a park view room as well :). Comfortable bed, good tv, great bar area and perfect location.

Absolutely fantastic staff ..from check in to check out ..superb room (238) very roomy ..great large bed nice pillow ex clean..Hotel spotless..easy parking..superb al a carte ..meal ..waiting staff brilliant as a team..so good stayed extra night ..2 members of staff stood out ..Olivia on reception for sorting extra night in same room and night manager will ..an absolute assit to big blue..
