Tram stop across the road was handy but the location was too far out , not much near by. Entertainment not too bad , different singer every night and bingo, wifi in room quite good but didnt work in lounge. That was about it .
Hotel is not in the best location too far out from everything , nearest pub etc was about 10 minute walk. Run down and needs a good revamp. No TV in lounge. Bathoom was tiny as was the shower , if your on the large side you wldnt fit in it ! Some one was smoking in their room , whole corridor on 1st floor was stinking , no manager around but told the barman. Breakfast could be better , myself and my mum were put at the end of a cramped table of 4 men, no table of our own. Tea was cold , toast was hardly toasted and cooked breakfast wasnt hot ! Was obviously pre plated. Would not return.

Bar area was a good size. We booked a twin and had a large room with 2 double beds. Water pressure in the shower was excellent and plenty of hot water. Tram station 2 minute walk
They should do breakfast in 2 sittings. Everyone was there at 8.30 and the restaurant was packed. It took the waiter 45 mins to get to us to ask what we wanted.

There was a problem with the rooms i booked at no fault of the hotel, they had received incorrect information from booking.com, they managed to sort out the problem easily.
The staff were all great and made everyone feel welcome, I will definitely stay here again.

GOOD FOR TRAM AS CAN GET IT AT THE END OF THE STREET
Hotel bedroom very outdated ,needs re painted as loads of dirty marks on skirting, need new furniture, didn't use shower as didn't look great
Bar staff not very welcoming I went back with a dirty glass with lipstick on it ,not even a sorry didn't order again from him as he didn't look happy made me feel uncomfortable, went out gir a drink ,won't be back

the location as it was quiet and the tram was only 6 a day anywhere you like , and only 2 mins walk away !
the entertainment was typical British just what we love ! everyone was friendly staff and other holiday makers , even though we were the youngest ! also a bargain !
wasnt exactly sparkling and could do with a little update , didnt like the plastic sheeting as it just made you sweat ! breakfast wasnt the best but plenty of other stuff to have and the staff made up for it !

It was spotlessly clean the beds were very comfy the rooms were aired clean windows and curtains plenty of storage space lift to all floors were in working condition and very clean very good entrainment even a few games here and their also bingo and the prize money was good the breakfast was very good plenty of choice and the games room was good and also had a quiet corner looking out into the front and has a area outside for smokers or just to have a chat and all the staff are very friendly and the bar is very good could not fault this hotel at all its a bit outdated on decor but still very clean and its like home from home and everybodys friendly and you get to know the other guests staying i recommend this hotel and will be booking again this summer with my son and daughter wouldnt go anywhere else
The breakfast was good and plenty of choice but could of offered a choice of tea or coffee and to bring out the toast when the main breakfast is served as wen it does come out the toast is always cold because you get given it before your hot breakfast also the sausages could do with browning of a bit more rather than them looking as tho they havent been cooked long enough but still an excelant breakfast to peoples liking

looked better than the pictures. clean and today close to the beach
Sunday morning breakfast was served cold. had to keep asking for things. tea pot already made on table was Luke warm but dont drink tea anyway so had to ask for coffee. then got cereal but no milk, so had to ask for milk. then had to ask for our breakfast and was given half a slice of toast which again was cold and like rubber. felt like we had to beg for stuff and kept on getting ignored has staff walked past and we tried to stop them they just ignored us. many people was complaining about the service.
Monday morning was a bit better. but still had rubber toast and eggshell in my egg.
another guest who stayed there has a regular was spoke to like crap by the woman on the desk because she said he had been moaning about the food. he hadnt but people had been moaning to him about it but he didnt really respond.
the woman had come outside and started shouting at him outside and said stop telling people you have been banned from staying.
very unprofessional and she really shouldnt be working in customer service talking to guest like that.
it made everyone feel uncomfortable. she could of just took him to one side.
the poor guy was heartbroken.
I will never stay there again
