Cozy tidy quiet clean room , comfy bed , great breakfast , nice atmosphere
Will not use the car park again, double every other hotel .

Room rather small but warm and cosy with a comfy bed.
Decent hot shower but very little storage space for wash bags.
Excellent breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Fantastic value for money with the DBB rate.
Parking was £14 per night and not guaranteed - we had to park in the side road on the Saturday night due to an event in one of the function rooms.
Many of the items on the menu required a supplement if you were on the DBB rate and some of the descriptions of the food didn't seem to match what we received!

The hotel is beautiful. Every member of staff we met was lovely. The breakfast was delicious.
Only negative was not enough bar staff at night. Both nights the bar was really busy but only 2 staff members on.

Breakfast was a buffet and it was fresh and plentfiul. They have a table tennis area which was free and good fun.
The beds were lumpy, uncomfortable, stained and brown. The room was dated and had stains on the carpet, the mirror and the bed side tables. During Storm Dave, the windows rattled like mad and the floor and bed shook due to the age of the property. The windows were filthy and room service was not consistent. The room in general was dirty and had a weird smell. This place needs a massive upgrade.

The staff were all amazing from the welcoming smiles at reception to the breakfast servers. Entertainment was brilliant with great bar staff and the hotel was in a great location, 20 minutes to the town centre.

As previously mentioned it really does need some money spent to refurb, is looking a bit drab which is a shame as a grand hotel with a lot of history.

my shower pointed toeard a tiny cubicle so the body could not stand under the shower. ive nevwr seen anything like it. causing flooding outside the shower. o asked for help & it was jot fixed at all!!!!, a hotel room qhere you cant avtuslly have a showet for 2vnights becauze the shower head did not cover my body. i was stunned for the impeirial. also check in had 1 staff memvwr whith a hige queir causing extensove waits which evwryone in the queue compalinef sbout. then a manager said they wanted a chat with the only staff member om the receptiom woth no regard the queue was lwft waoting with no onr to check anyone in. . i stayed in the inpwtial 6 times abyear the last 10 years and this last voait has made me jot want to return. i csnt believe management had no concern i could not shower. they saod they fixed it. but the next day was exactly rhe samr problem

Wonderful
Very traditional seaside hotel.
Looking slightly tired in areas.
As we had the dog. We had to have breakfast in the derby room ,which is a long walk with your breakfast tray. Would be better if you could be closer to main breakfast lounge.
