Staff were friendly and the breakfast was spot on .Hotel was clean and bed was comfy as well .
The TV didn't work only had two channels that only came on when they felt like it ,think the aerials need looking at .Also when I booked it never said anything about paying for parking which I only found out when I arrived,should be on the website to be honest.

Breakfast was lovely, good options of food. The evening meal we had was delightful and good value. The road had character. Guru (the duty Manager) was very friendly and helpful.
Lightbulbs in communal areas were out, The chandelier in the left corner of the breakfast room has nearly as many bulbs out that are on. The carpet on most floors need replacing.

When 1st entering our room we were meet with Many concerns so called down & told someone would come in 20 mins . Which did happen , Louie was the member of staff who attended & listened & saw the list of problems we had encountered on our arrival in the room. As well as a larg masonry drill bit which my Husbands slid on as going to the side of the bed, the same one we are assuming was used to create the brick dust on dressing/ beverage making area & electric socket where we plugged in the fridge. Also removed were the adults winter gloves & child sock from my bedside draw where I anitially pland to place my medication! Louie took these items away. I removed hair from hand basin.
Sadly the problems were not all addressed at that point & a continuing list of problems & situations escalated throughout our stay.
It was so obvious that this room had not been cleaned before we were checked into this room. For the entirety of out stay. No one serviced our room at all!!
No beverages , towels & toiletries were forthcoming & absolutely ridiculous we had to be going down to reception to get these items? . No maid/ chamber services to our room.
The breakfast time was also a constant daily challenge as to how we were served & most often we were not! Staff were trying to get there own head around the constant changing procedure. This went also from bad to worse.
We had been extremely satisfied in September when we had visited & the only reason we returned.What a huge mistake with all we experienced & reported to so many members of staff.!!

Booked a family room and was given 414 - avoid this room as was on top floor in the eaves and was dark and cramped . We had to upgrade to a deluxe room at an additional cost which was much better

It was cold, in the evening entertainment, there was customers wearing a Parker coat, it was that cold, when mentioned to staff they agreed.

Staff were all kind and friendly with every interaction. The hotel breakfast was also very hearty and sufficient.
Excellent location in close proximity to the Blackpool North train station which was convenient! Also, overall, the hotel is in a quiet location which was appreciated (granted we stayed here during off-season). The hotel is also a quick walk from a local CoOp store which was helpful.
So the hotel is old, there's no doubt about it. Our room which had 2 queen sized beds was just okay. There was ample room for our luggage. The kettle provided did not work upon arrival, the iron was broken as well, as was the hair dryer. All of that are indicators of age and that staff aren't regularly checking these items.
Also our windows were absolutely filthy (mildew and black around the frames like they are never cleaned)... they also condensate like crazy all over the entire window sill which was gross and leaves puddles of water on the sill itself.
Overall, not sure I'd choose this hotel over others in Blackpool if we were ever there again.

Location of the property. Great food. Friendly staff.
More staff needed at reception. Paying £40 for a 4 night stay for parking. Public parking in the centre of Blackpool would have cost half that amount. Paying extra for a Sea Facing room to discover the seals had gone in the room window so the sea view was not very clear. When paying extra for something it should be supplied in full. Rooms need to be updated, no USB charging sockets, worn carpets with replacement patches. Made the room look tired. Separate shower needed, high bath made it difficult to get in and out of the shower.

Breakfast was good, hot buffet warm plates. Spacious reception and bar areas, wide corridors. Room was a good size. Staff all friendly and very helpful. Bed very comfortable and the room was clean. Bar and bar food good but slightly pricey for food. Onsite parking.
Minor issues which didn't stop us enjoying our stay but could be improved upon...The outside of all of the windows were dirty (upstairs and downstairs) which is a pity because is an easy fix to make it more pleasant. Hotel inside is tired in places (eg worn carpets on 3rd floor and stairs) but this is understandable due to size and the age of the hotel. Lighting in some areas a bit dull. One of our rooms hadn't been made up from the previous guests when we arrived but this was quickly sorted and we were also offered another room.
