Additional parking charges added £14 per night since I last stayed. Says parking under facilities but you have to dig to see that there is a charge.

Just stayed here for 2 nights sat and Sunday, What a beautiful hotel, lots of history, great facilities, friendly staff and spotlessly clean, we did upgrade to a superior room with sea view which was fantastic, the breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and all freshly cooked,The location is perfect by the north pier 15 min walk to the tower but tram stops right outside if walking is a struggle, there is a lovely bar and terrace outside to enjoy if the sun is shining, Would recommend to anyone and will be definitely be going back

Good size room. Complimentary bicuits and tea/coffee refilled each day. Excellent breakfast.
Self service for tea at breakfast. Mugs instead of cups.
No tablet of soap in bathroom.

Loved the history of the building staff were incredibly friendly while remaining respectful and professional. Breakfast had a great variety to choose from and tasted very nice was a self serve buffet for full English but also cereals toast and pastries to choose from self serve hot and cold drinks
Room was very dated and not exactly the cleanest my husband dropped something and as he reached down to pick it up found a used dental floss stick on the floor which in my opinion a cleaner should not have missed had room been cleaned properly. Pillows were extremely hard and lumpy. Tv worked first night but second night just showed no signal and couldn’t get anything on it at all

The building in general is a beautiful building with many incredible features down stairs.
The building in general is beautiful.
The rooms are quite dated and in need of a freshen up.
The shower is so hard to regulate and the ironing board just kept dropping making ironing difficult.
Parking was £14 per night which I feel is expensive as I spent 25 minutes driving around the car park waiting for a space to become available.

Disappointing
The bed was comfortable
The hotel was dirty, the room had jam on curtains, hair everywhere , all over not clean, breakfast queues were huge and we never got chance to eat, the window didn't open at all to allow fresh air
Paying for parking
The shower was not powerful enough
Had to purchase a further bed (my own fault) but daughters pull out bed wasn't clean
