Breakfast was cold and fried eggs were hard even though they were straight from the kitchen. The first hotel I have stayed at where you pay for the use of the swimming pool. The family room we stayed in was filthy even though we had to wait 45 minutes for it to be ready. Many guests had problems with the room card not working and when we left and explained all these issues to the receptionist there was no real effort to apologise.

The location of the property was great, short walk to the beach, tram stop just outside so accessible to local area
On arrival it took a while for the desk staff to be able to find out booking, then when they did, told us we had already checked in. I said clearly not as we are stood in front of him. After some checking in his end it looks like they had made a mistake somewhere and allocated us a room on the 5th floor (originally on 2nd). When we got to the room we were not impressed, there was no cot which had been requested so had to request it to be taken to the room (which they did later in the day) we found there was only a single towel provided for a family of 4, the lights were broken and the bedding was no overly clean

Rooms all gave the sea. Brilliant "art deco" furnishings.
We stayed previously and it was great. This time we were in Room 403 where the mattresses are probably older than the hotel and modeled on the Blackpool Rollercoaster. And the window has been screwed tight shut, so the room NEVER gets fresh air. It was an awful night's "sleep".

Staff was limited.
The building was not clean.
Rubbish everywhere and not picked up in the hallways.

The room was changed for us
The initial room was disgraceful. It was dirty. The windows were screwed in place so we couldn't open the window, even though it was excessively hot. There was no coffee making facilities in the room.
The gym/pool which we believed to be part of the 'package' we were charged for. The female showers were dirty .

The smiley man on reception was very helpful and friendly.
There was only one man on reception when booking in and a very long queue. We had to wait a long time. An extra person on the desk would help a great deal!

Plenty of car parking space. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room was an adequate size and very comfortable. Bathroom a decent size. Room and bathroom both very clean.
Breakfast was of mediocre quality. Sausage of very poor quality - reminded me of ones from a school canteen! Very few tables were set with appropriate cutlery. We had to go looking on other tables for it. Some days very little fresh fruit was available and selection of cereals inadequate.
Our room was not serviced at all while we were there. We had to ring reception to get toilet rolls, tea, coffee and milk.

Short walk to the attractions.
Loud noise and music nuisance coming from drunken group next door. Complained to staff but could not be moved and could not sleep such was the noise. Checked out just after midnight and went home. Had paid for breakfast but no refund was offered.
