It's really clean and staff can't do enough for you. It's the best value budget hotel in Blackpool and we've been comming to Blackpool for a long time and stayed in many different hotels but we will only be staying here in future

Disappointing
We decided not to stay, so we checked out within 10 minutes of going to our room. In the short time we were there we didn't find anythng we liked, which is why we checked out.
The hotel, was not very modern or kept in a good or cosy state, it was in need of a makeover and some modernisation. The corridors needed to be updated and the decorating was quite harsh and uninviting. The room, was barren, empty and uninviting. My son felt unsafe and was not comfortable. I was unsure myself and felt a little let down as it did not meet expectations, which is why we decided to find alternative lodgings. It was an average B&B for Blackpool but I have stayed in nicer and been to worse. We didn’t stay, so I cannot comment further. This is based on first impressions and the very short time we sat in the room. We left to explore but felt uncomfortable, so found something else and went back and checked out. We requested a refund based on expectations but it was declined.

The bed was the worst I ever had the misfortune to sleep on . If there had a been a gravel pit outside I’m sure I would have had a better nights sleep in that . My back this morning is ruined thanks to a mattress full of springs and no filling , the room was so small it’s hard to comprehend. So for £45 it’s deffo not worth it . Certainly won’t be wining 4 in a bed

The only thing I can say we liked during our stay was the location. It was accessible to the beach and amusements. Apart from that, I would never ever stay at the Henson Hotel ever again.
Everything about the hotel. They didn't clean our room, there was no hot water, so we were unable to shower, and when we mentioned the problem, we were told they would fix it. However, as we were leaving, the staff member said,
'I'm sorry to hear about the hot water, but you're leaving now, so nothing we can do'.
Staff were outside smoking constantly. We came back to see a police officer roaming around and instantly felt unsafe, having 2 children with us. Luckily, we didn't pay for 'breakfast' if you could call it that. I am very disappointed and will never be returning again.

Exceptional
Location was better than anything could have asked for and incredible value for money. Staff went above and beyond and breakfast was lovely and ideal for myself and my daughter. Enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed another night. Very disability friendly, clean and amazing view of the ocean and storm on our second night.
