John was very welcoming & friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean, tidy & had everything youd need tea/coffee making facilities, mini fridge (with water & milk),tv, towels & complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was fantastic. Consisted of choosing what youd like off a extensive list which meant you could have all or pick & choose! Same for what time youd like to have breakfast too. Ideal location.Resident Westies Barney & Millie also greeted us on arrival & each morning which was lovely as we love dogs.
No complaints as everything was really good. We did find it easy to accidentally knock off the toilet roll on the hanger! Not sure if it was too close but it is in a small space so not too sure how you can fix it.

What a lovely weekend we have just returned from at this lovely guest house.
John is a brilliant host and an amazing chef with his brilliant full English breakfasts.
This guy thinks of everything, from his text msg on the day of travel hoping our journey would be a good one and making us feel welcome before we had even met.
Easy to understand why the other guests we met there are people who have been back countless times.
Lovely comfortable room and spotlessly clean. Never stayed in a guest house where they even supply bath robes for you !!
Lots of lovely personal touches like that.

The owner was so welcoming, even though we arrived little early. He was friendly, attentive and nothing was any trouble,made you feel welcome and comfortable,added bonus for me his 2 beautiful scotty dogs that let you pet and stroke in replacement for missing my 2 back home. Breakfast was delicious, we were given option cards to fill in when we arrived, so you can pick what you like,want,without having to leave waste,cooked to perfection.
Room was little small and bathroom but perfectly adequate for our needs and stay.

Great host, friendly and attentive. Great breakfast with good produce.
Room smaller than expected for price, on booking through booking.com showed an an image of another room and thought we were booking this which was larger than what we stayed in. No wardrobe in room and what is available to hang clothes on blocks acces to bed. No small table to put cups on or sit comfortably. Sitting on bed most of time. Cobwebs on light fitting and dust on mirror. Dining room ceiling needs attention. Looks like plaster has fallen off and an area bulging. No access to bar or offered to use it, but other guests did. When we saw it had been used and coming in after a night out owner said he was going to bed.

Great location, easy to find and very friendly staff. Thank you John for your hospitality, me and the wife will be back again soon. The greeting from the two friendly westie dogs on arrival also added to the stay.

The welcoming committee of Toby and Millie - two adorable Westies were a pleasant experience. John, the owner was extremely friendly and very attentive. Always happy to help. A very good location, a 15 minute walk to the Tower and most of the attractions.

We just spent 3 nights here. The owners John and Tony made us feel so welcome . The lovely txt to wish us a safe journey was great ,felt so personal. The full English was to die for. Nothing was too much for the hosts. The bar prices are very reasonably .. over all a wonderful experience .. booked already for next year thank you John and Tony . Xx
