Good
Paying a bond for room.
Cost nearly as much as initial payment for room.
Not received any deposit back and no receipt of what I’ve paid for.

Very Good
The interior of the hotel is a bit dated in places, but the rooms were nice and clean.
We got a good deal on the price through booking.com for the two nights we were there.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
It's about 20 min walking distance to the city centre, but that was ok for us.
Fridge in the room would be nice, but not a big deal.

Location was great and the staff were amazing!
Cost of parking was a bit steep, the room was dated and the view was awful

Pleasant
Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar. No issues getting refills. Good sized room with bed and ensuite bathroom with a proper bath. TV also decent size, compared to other similar hotels I've stayed in.
Made good use of the cooling fan in this hot weather!
Hotel could do with an update. Staff members seemed slightly passive. The bedroom floor creaked like crazy. Strangest shower taps I've used before and took ages to set the temperature just right.
Not keen on having to pay £50.00 card deposit; - there must be a better way?
Overnight parking seemed pricey for one night.

Hotel was lovely
Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, We had tea and coffee making facilities along with an iron and ironing board, and hairdryer.
Private bathroom although it was clean could do with an upgrade, bath/shower and sink very dated.

Very Poor
The staff are very polite and the location is good
Mould in my original room, requested a room move which was accommodated but the room smelled of tobacco which was unpleasant for a nine smoker. Also drunk and noisy guest that after about an hour I contacted reception to request that they attend to it

Very Good
The staff were very friendly and the food was good in the restaurant and plenty of choice at breakfast . Good location for the north as we were going to the winter gardens to a show.
The room was very small as it was a twin, which didn't matter apart from being a sloped roof next to the bed and I banged my head on it twice .

Good
Breakfast was good, common areas were nice. We had one of the older rooms, the bathroom was kinda gross and dated but the room itself and beds were ok. Main problem was the window opens a tiny crack and it was hot as hell in there. Could really do with some AC for hot months.

Staff were amazing, we were in an accessible room and it was so spacious. Huge shower area. Sit in bath, massive bed plus a separate single. We are in their restaurant every night and the food was really tasty and great value. Just loved our stay and would definitely recommend

Bathroom needs a little attention, black mold on grouting and dated fixtures ,needs an update.outside needs abit of a tidy up,needs weeding brings the building down

Good
Nice room with sea view, comfortable chair and bed. Reasonably clean and breakfast adequate.
The shower was barely usable with temperature never stable going from scalding hot to freezing cold every few seconds. The bathroom in general could do with updating. The room cleaning was erratic and tea/coffee/ milk weren't topped up. Not enough power sockets particularly near bed.
