Very basic hotel, not very clean, could.do with an update but was ok for a 2 night stay

The location was pretty good.. the room provided tea and coffee as well.. the bathroom was clean as well as the bedding. The breakfast room atmosphere and the actually food offered were lovely though..
The sheets came off the mattresses and we saw the mattresses were actually yellow/brown so we didn’t actually get into the bed, we stayed on top of blanket..
I was also irritated that the elevator was broken and carrying all our luggage up like 12 flights of stairs wasn’t ideal..

The breakfast was nice
The outside of the hotel looked very run down with flaking paint. When we checked in we found out the lift was broken. Then when we saw the room it looked nothing like in the photos that are shown this is false advertising. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location. Cheap and cheerful.
There is maintenance work being carried out. It is always difficult during a busy summer season. Carpets worn, rooms very tired looking.
Its not geared up for disabled people. There is no ramp access at the front of the hotel. There is, however, a fire exit around the back. The staff would be happy to let you in with a wheelchair etc. However, that's only if there is someone available to carry this out. There are 2 sets of stairs up to the main entrance.
at the front. Currently, the lift is out of order. Please be advised that the dining room is downstairs.
Its a shame as anyone with mobility issues would really struggle here. I think its something that needs to be addressed so as not to incriminate.
Also only 2 plug sockets in rooms. One of them is for the tv, so very limiting. We asked for an extension lead, but we're advised it would be a fire risk.

4 of use girls had a lovely time in the pool for half an hour then they let a group of 6 men in so got out.
Lift wasn't working & they had a mix up with the rooms when we arrived.

Lovely breakfast
To many stairs to reach our room which was on top floor. However the room was lovely clean. View of sea . I would stay again however I'd have to request a room on one of the lower floors .

Comfy bed. Female staff and waiter on breakfast duty were very nice but older man in bar at night was quite rude to people.
I didn’t like the property’s lift was out of order and people had to climb stairs thst were clearly unable too it should have been priority to be fixed.the property was also very low on cleanliness not good at all.

Nothing at all
First when we got to the hotel we were informed the room wouldn't be ready for a further 3 hours. So we left our bags at check in and went to explore upon returning we finally checked in the lady at the front desk clearly wasn't trained well and tried charging me again, they had miss placed our bags but soon found them luckily nothing was missing. Once in the room it all went down hill the sink in the bathroom had been broken and repaired with silicone there was a glass shelf being held up by 2 hand soap bottles. The shower didn't drain out so just built up around your feet the flooring got extremely slippery once wet and the shower had no cold water at all, the main door had a busted lock. So we decided to head out and explore and found a different hotel to stay at. Upon leaving and checking out I gave the reasons to the staff at reception and got told in their words that I was a lying, I did how ever notice that the staff had open bottles of alcohol around so I can only assume they were drinking on the job and infront of guests. Absolutely vile will never return and sadly has left me and my partner with an extremely sour taste towards Blackpool.

Location and parking facilities
The layout could be a bit confusing, and some of the rooms are quite old. Our room was recently painted, but it wasn’t aired out, so it felt a bit stuffy.
