This is a beautiful historic building and the location is wonderfully central. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The rooms were huge and very comfortable.

Loved the look and atmosphere at the hotel. The staff and location were fantastic.
It was a little dark and tired in the bedrooms. There was nothing particularly bad to affect our stay but there was some trim missing from the wardrobe and the shower door did not close properly.

The price of the breakfast was extremely high. Far too expensive.

Staff were excellent. Food nice and location excellent.
Breakfast was particularly nice.
Seen better days. My room was a bit battered and drab. Looks like some money has been out into the main communal areas and maybe some of the rooms (my colleague and I paid the same and booked same type of room but his was much nicer than mine).

Fire alarm was set off at 2.50am an we got up to leave and the night staff told us there was no fire wasn't happy at all not even an apology

Wonderful
an extra suitcase holder would be good for couples with a second suitcase. Had 3 course meal and drinks in the room and the food was delicious. Exceeded my expectations. Staff in the bar, lobby, reception and room service were excellent. Warm, friendly but not intrusive. I will be back for sure. Location perfect. Car park literally 4 mins slow walk across the road
