The location was excellent and the staff friendly.
The bed was very comfy with beautiful quality duvet and pillows.
The room was tatty, with chips to paintwork and scuff on walls.
The cleaning was poor, there was dust and splash marks all over bathroom door. Grim on sils of shower screen. The shower gel and shampoo holders were loose and the gel and shampoo was hard to get out of the bottles to use.
The worst thing was the noise. The room next to ours had noisy people staying in it, we could hear every word as there was no sound proofing between the rooms. Their tv was also mounted on the wall where our bed was, so directly by our heads. They had it on watching late into the evening, which is absolutely their perogative, however we couldn't sleep until they turned it off as it made the bed head vibrate with the level of noise.

Staff were lovely. Rooms were clean. Food was ok
Light bulb in lamps not working. Plug sockets not working,though quickly resolved by maintenance. Bathroom taps wobbly,hard to operate. No shower cap in the packet. Far too hot even after turning heat off. Overpriced food.

The hot food was good quality. The continental was limited. The size of the room was good
Paid for an upgrade with a coffee machine to find there were no coffee pods. On asking staff for some coffee pods I was told the hotel didn’t have any.

I have stayed here a few times, the breakfast is always wonderful.
Check in took forever... when I got to my room it was very cold, considering this was in December the windows were open and had to close them to attempt to get any heat in the room.
The noise early the next morning (from 05:30am) from staff and traffic was annoying, hardly a peaceful lie in bed.
