Lagan Backpackers is a well-equipped hostel in central Belfast. It offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Check in is from 14:00-23:00. For late check in 23:00-01:00 only upon request, please make sure to choose prepayment option only so we can organize a late check in. ***For Group bookings of 10 or more people, please contact us on our website Belfast Lagan Backpackers. We will refuse booking if booking is made without contacting us beforehand. 30% Deposit to secure booking and outstanding payment to be paid 30 days before arrival. Also there will be a security deposit of £20.00 per person to pay on arrival, this will be returned upon check out after inspecting rooms and also following our house rules. This will all be informed after booking. ***We have the right to refuse any guests who are in a state of drunkness when checking in, unhoused guests, no valid card details provided or any illegal activities such as drugs. We may ask for security deposit in case of damages or house rules are broken. Any refused bookings, their payment to their reservations are forfeited.*** The property and all rooms are only accessible with keypads and stairs. Dormitories have bunk beds and use of shared bathroom facilities. There are mixed dorms at Lagan Backpackers, as well as private rooms. We also provides barbecue facilities, a living room and free tea and coffee. There are kitchen and dining area. Our backpacker is just 10 minutes’ walk from the center of the city. Belfast Botanical Gardens and Ormeau Park are within 5 minutes’ walk, on either side of the River Lagan.e River Lagan. Guest have to provide valid ID (passport or Driving License) and card.

Price was right and great location.
10PM lights-out curfew not enforced by staff... several drunk guests rolled in about 2AM and rambled on for a couple hours before I had to crawl out of bed and 'remind' them that the rest of us were trying to sleep. Spent next few hours waiting to be stabbed. Our room door was not secure - could easily be pryed open. Bathroom tile and grout broken and crumbling... to be expected in that price range, I suppose.

This is the place to stay if you're a solo backpacker! It's basically 2 student houses merged into ones. You have rooms and bathrooms on both sides of the place. There's a big kitchen with everything you need, as well as multiple fridges. It is kept clean throughout the day, the bathrooms also are cleaned all day. They have a lovely living room with sofas for watching TV and chilling. I was welcomed by Michael before my check in time. I could leave my bags and have a coffee. The duvets are so comfortable. They keep a room for solo female travellers when they can, so it was nice to be in with other girls only; felt very safe. It's about 15mins walking from the City Centre, but it's on top of the Botanic Gardens and Ulster museum which is worth a visit. They also give a good discount on the day tour to the Giants Causeway; it was actually cheaper than going by public transport. Lots of very friendly volunteers; I didn't enter the place without having multiple conversations. Also different wifis in different parts of the hostel, so the connection was always strong. It's really really a lovely lovely little place they have there. Some might say a bit rough around the edges, but for the price you pay, they've made it very cutesy. I'd stay there again.

Michael at the front was very nice
Bed, the mattress topper was quite filthy, not many powerpoints in the room making it tough to charge devices. Showers/toilets weren't cleaned, no consistent hot water, floor in the bathroom dirty.
