Fair
The location is great and the breakfast was very good
There was a stain on my bed sheet which looked like old blood and there were no bottles of water in the room which for me is a basic necessity. When we went to purchase same from the hotel
Lobby we were charged £2.65 for a 250ml bottle of still water which was extortionate. So make sure you bring water with you to the hotel

Wonderful
The location, friendliness and helpfulness off all staff we came across and value for money
Very little. Yes the carpets are a bit tired, marks on the wall - did it affect our stay? Not one bit

Good
hotel is in a great location. Check in was simple and the staff were nice. a two night stay and we were given fresh towels after the first night
bathroom was basic enough but for the price it was sufficient. The carpet was stained. Also the bar/ restaurant was very basic food was okay. There was no heating control & the room was cold.

Wonderful
Centrally located, this hotel was a 5 to 20 minute walk from everywhere I wanted to be (including shops, botanic gardens, bus stops and shuttle to airport). It was clean and comfortable. The lobby was welcoming and being able to check in online ahead of time made things quick and easy and I was in my room within 5 minutes of arriving. Staff were always friendly and helpful. I didn't take advantage of any dining or bar options, though they did look like well presented areas, but while the lobby "shop" appeared a little understocked it was convenient and the ice cream sandwich was very tasty as a late night snack after a full day out exploring. Bag storage after online checkout was efficient and useful for some extra time out before homeward travel.
A room key was needed to use the lobby toilets so, while understandable from a business point of view, it did make things more difficult than it needed to be when returning to pick up stored baggage before heading to the airport. There was also a £6 room service fee which meant I opted not to order anything.

Pleasant
Centrally located, staff very friendly, rooms a decent size with plenty of lifts so you’re not waiting long. Reception area very well laid out and airy. The common areas were clean and maintained very well.
No facility for room service for breakfast (you come down and get it); access ramp out the front is a de facto smoking area so a number of times had to lift baby pram up the steps; hot food at breakfast mostly fried and people using hands to lift items; changed rooms a number of times as they were so cold with no heating control (even final room wouldn’t heat for long periods and was cold during the night) and our young baby came home with her first cold; bathrooms very pokey; no laundry bags; corners of room; phones and remote controls very grubby.
