Location was good, room was ok, bed was comfortable and clean. Acces was secure needed key card to access toilets and upper floors. Room was protected by street noise with noise insulated windows. Evening Restaurant food was ok
Hotel offered online checkin but you still had to que at reception to get key cards, there always seemed to be a lengthy que at reception. There was no safe in the room even though its advertised. Lamp on desk didnt work, shower head didnt rotate so the spray wasnt great, shower gel pump didnt work properly so difficult to get shower gel out. Bar didnt open as advertised, was severely delayed on at least 2 days. Breakfast wasnt great, lengthy ques in morning to get seated, and also at the buffet, food items were not replenished very quickly. Quality of food items weren't great, some were cold, orange juice was diluted. Bar or restaurant didnt serve cocktails or irish coffees, they ran out of some drinks on Saturday night. Overall staff appeared overwhelmed and clearly understaffed. I guess I had more expectations seeing it was a 4 star hotel, but I don't think 4 star service was provided.. I think i paid too much with what was offered, I don't think i would stay in this hotel again.

Room was comfortable
Restaurant was not open for dinner due to short staffed we were told. Told serving food in bar but they could not find menus. Had to find a local restaurant.
While free bottle water in the room is appreciated, one of the bottles already had the seal broken so could not be drank.

Good
Central location.
Not admisible that cash payments are not allowed. Personnel seems not very motivated and customer oriented.

How long we had to wait for our dinner. But deputy manager sorted it out straight away. She was extremely helpful.

Breakfast was nice. Ok price
Ignored at the bar, struggled to get a drink. Pillow too hard. Housekeeping came in three times in the morning, once being at half 8.

Disappointing
Location is excellent
Service was dreadful. This is the second Christmas that we as a family have stayed for Christmas markets and shopping, and will not be booking in next year. On both occasions there was lack of staff so checking in & out, storing luggage etc takes a while. The most disappointing service is in the bar. The bar man quit the job last Saturday night so the bar was forced to close @ 11pm. There were no other staff available to serve. The previous year we had a similar situation, there was not enough staff working and bar was full with empty dirty glasses, it took 30 mins to get a drink. Very disappointing for a city centre hotel particularly on the run up to Christmas when the hotel is busy.
