Checked in and was told I won the hotel room lottery and got a free upgrade too executive suite. Good sized room but I think this was the first time I ever asked too get a downgrade in a room as it was two blokes staying in room so wanted separate beds lol. Staff were friendly and accommodating too change rooms.

Well situated with a cosy bar area and a good breakfast. The room was a good size, clean, comfortable and quiet for the centre of a city. Overall this was a pleasant stay and good value for money.
The room whilst really clean was a little tired. The bathroom although well stocked with toiletries needs a little TLC and the headboard was torn in places

The hotel was very nice inside and nice location and the receptionist Naomi was so welcoming and very friendly, I had a small request for something and it was sorted very quickly for me and I was very happy, she deserves a medal

Location was ideal for the city centre and other attractions nearby. Plenty of good bars and restaurants in the area. The room was spacious, the bed was big and firm, had a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was good, there was plenty to choose from. The bar has a good selection of beer, lager, cider and other bottled drinks. Nice selection of bar food as well, we tried 5 different meals and all were good

Location, cleanliness, size of room.
WiFi was a bit clunky to access and is unsecured. Breakfast was good but little things like there not being a bread knife obviously visible for bagels and berries not being fresh (looked like frozen variety) wasn't great.

We were surprised at how quiet the hotel floors were and we didn't hear any noise from rooms next to us so we all had a good night sleep
We hadn't booked breakfast booked as had heard mixed reviews but went down in the morning and was able to get in, the cooked breakfast was good enough, bit disappointed about the variety of continental breakfast options i.e. fruit, yoghurt, granola or seeds etc
