location and staff excellent
had to move rooms as bed linen was dirty and room was not clean . Second room bed was clean but carpet very stained and walls need painting

Location was good
Value for money is terrible. I could have paid 75% less somewhere else and have had maybe 20sq ft less space and exactly the same quality of room. TV/AV was state of the art about 20 years ago. Bar/restaurant are overpriced and soulless. Pool & spa facilities are permanently closed. Everything is in good condition but getting very tired.
Incredibly overpriced. I'd expect the level of quality I experienced for a third of the cost.

Central location with variety of restaurants nearby. Fab breakfast. Very comfortable rooms. Excellent shower, once we worked out how to adjust temperature. You have to press and hold button under shower control till it gets to desired temperature. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly truly in dining room. Had dinner in restaurant one night and it was excellent.

Disappointing
Location
The hotel room is tired, the pillows were dirty with hair on them. They only have one pillow on the bed and two reserved pillows. All were dirty with notable marks someone had used them. Had to take time to clean down and inspect everything. Door to the bathroom was dirty too . I could go on and on. However, the cleaner who cleaned the room on the Saturday did a great job.
Some reception staff giving conflicting advice about things asked. Not worth a 4 star experience in my opinion and I was highly disappointed.

Good location lovely staff smoking bay outside that you can sit with your drink hop on off bus stop just 5 minutes down the road food in hotel was excellent, couldn’t fault this hotel
This is the 3rd Clayton hotel I have stayed at they are an excellent chain but some of the rooms need a wee upgrade but clean and comfortable

Staff went above and beyond and helped us with late check-outs and and issues we had. Very friend and open to chat too.
Location was perfect.
Lounge area was nice.
Definitely staying here next time.
The room could've been layed out a bit better. It seemed it was connected to another room. Also the tv was to the left of us so it was a little uncomfortable to watch. Not picking though
