Location is excellent.
Staff superb.
Room a bit tired, basic and could do with refresh.
Breakfast offering was focused on cost effectiveness rather than guest considerations.
Overall, the stay was functional rather than delughtful. The executive king room didn't offer enough to justify the additional cost, and despite the excellent staff, the offering is not enough to draw us back.

Poor
John he was amazing only for him we probably would have left and booked another hotel
All the chairs u sat on had stains we even found a sock shoved down the back of one of the seats, stains over bedroom floor stains on bedroom seat shower handle that stiff you could only get scalding hot or freezing cold showers there was dust all over coffee michine in room disabled toilet u sit on the loo and the sink is on top of ur legs no hand soap or soap dispenser, also paid extra for late checkout don't know why cleaners let themselfs in 2 while I was in bed and scared the life out of me and check in desk phoned twice so wasn't worth paying when no one let anyone else know

Pleasant
Check in was easy. Downstairs is a nice space to have a coffee. Breakfast was a good selection and food was hot.
First room we were given was right next to lift, noisy. On entry to room, was clear workmen had not finished in our room, as we were unpacking they just walked in apologised for intruding but lack of communication between check in staff and maintenance. Then after unpacking found there was no hot water at all. Moved to a different room. Although we had hot water, the temperature gage was broken so unable to change. Rooms felt dated compared to first impressions downstairs. No toilet roll in bathroom, cups only for 1 person when 2 of us were staying.

Very Good
The hotel was central enough to the City Centre, the breakfasts had a vast amount of uncooked/cooked foods.
The carpet in room 414 was heavily stained, & the edges of the carpet were very dusty, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, areas were quite dusty. The safe was far too high, my partner is 5'6" & had to stand on a chair to reach it. There were cigarette burns beside the sink in the bathroom & there were stains on the bedside lockers.

Very Good
The breakfast, and how comfortable the rooms were.
The rooms went 3 days without being cleaned even though we had been out of our room by half 10 most days with the latest being 11

Very Poor
There was no hot water in our room. We escalated this the afternoon we arrived. Had been out at a wedding the rest of the day. Still cold water both in shower and sink. The staff tried to insinuate that it wasn’t there problem and we should have reported the issue sooner..
