Good
Staff were very friendly and helpful, The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Aberystwyth but off-site parking can be a problem. The restaurant is convenient with good meals. Rooms are quiet, basic but adequate. Finding them can be something of a challenge as the numbering has no logic and there are parallel flights of stairs. You have to pick the correct one.
The bar is noisy, especially when sport is showing on the various TVs. There is no barrier separation between the bar and dining area with the latter also used as a thoroughfare by drinkers and guests.. It does not make for peaceful dining. TV reception in my room was limited whilst wifi and phone reception were patchy. Whilst staff were very friendly, they were often operating solo. Breakfast seemed dependent on who was on. shift. On only 1 day of 3 was there the complete suite of orange juice, plates for toast or the tongs to pick up the cold selection.

Disappointing
Needs a lot of updating & more attention to cleaning in public areas
The outside appearance is not what’s seen on the inside

Easy, safe, free parking behind hotel. Friendly staff. Lovely continental breakfast. Great location, central to everything. Cheap and cheerful hotel, quite dated, wobbly floors, steep stairs but rooms clean.
We had 2 rooms, 21 on the 3rd floor .bed was very comfortable and great
Then room 18 on the 2nd floor, omg! The worst mattress ever didn't sleep at all, springs poking into my ribs and hips, and ended up sleeping on the floor at 4 am. in desperation. Informed the owner he said he wasn't aware and would sort it out.

Pleasant
Near to pubs
Room was really bright so early in the morning, black out curtains a must. Didn't realize it was a continental breakfast, not for us so went to Weatherspoons and paid extra for a cooked breakfast

Pleasant
Excellent location and helpful staff
We were in room 8 and we had persistent recurring plumbing noises throughout the night. When we first arrived the Yale lock for our room jammed and we had to call a member of staff to recover us (if you turned the key the wrong way when removing the key it jammed the lock when the door closed)

The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much bother. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant so lots going on for guests. Cooked breakfast every day.
My first room was a single up three flights of stairs. The room was great but cold until I worked out how to use the radiator. Rooms on I'm in the street get noise from patrons leaving and patrons from other bars. This can get loud and go on well into early morning.

Wonderful
Harry's Hotel is very conveniently located near shops, cafes, the beach, bars etc. The room was spacious, very comfortable and clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, a great way to start the stay. We enjoyed having the bar just downstairs. We were warned things could get noisey on a Fri/Sat night but it didn't bother us.
Nothing really, it was great.

Good
Great location in town and just a short walk to the seafront. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was generally clean. Downstairs is big bar area with plenty of sports on TV and music, plus a big restaurant area and it was always pretty busy. If you timed it right there was some free parking around the back but you can park for free on the street although it's a 1 hour limit before 6pm.
If you were on the first floor and wanted an early night you might be bothered about the music and noise from the bar but they don't seem to stay open late.

Wonderful
Well located in the center of town a block from the train station and two blocks from the ocean. Great little downstairs. The included breakfast was huge.

Disappointing
The location was close to the bus station and close to the promenade.
There was no elevator and I had to carry my heavy suitcase up 3 flights of stairs (52 steps). The room was shabby with many marks on the walls and very old carpeting.,

Good
Clean spacious room. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Our room was facing the street and it was a noisy night...to be expected, I guess on a Saturday. Will ask for a room facing inwards, next time.
