I liked how everyone is dedicated to their job schedule, and how they treat their guest.
The Ugandans government and their citizens are very hospitable to everyone that entered Uganda. The Ugandans government and the institution's treat their citizens well and the citizens are law abiding.

Clean enough and good location.
It would be unfair to poorly rate the entire hotel staff but I had a very bad experience with reception. I was constantly being harassed by the hotel to pay an extra $2 because they want to "roundup" the daily rate of $48.60 to $49 therefore making a total of $196 while the total amount I owed was $194.40. I would not recommend this hotel at all and it's a pity because it's a good enough location and the rooms are clean. Only thing I didn't like about the room was the flimsy mosquitoe net which needed to work because there are plenty of mosquitoes who'll bite you at night when you are sleeping.

Bed was good, thats it.
POOR VALUE FOR MONEY. BAD BREAKFAST NOT WORTH HAVING. The room is cramped with bad layout with no view. When you shower , bathroom gets flooded completely including toilet as shower is almost onto of toilet. They called it Executive room but management is either illiterate and does not understand the meaning of executive room and how it should be like. They also overcharge for a useless ugly room which makes the info online - booking.com very misleading. The hotel is in a terrible location where it is noisy neighborhood where people scream all night preventing guests from sleeping. Facilities are bad and hotel outside seating area has no view and cramped. Photos on booking.com are very misleading.

Mixed feelings about the staff - they let me check in early but then tried to make me pay for 8 nights before I even saw my room. They backed off quickly though, when I politely pointed out that was unreasonable. When checking out, they tried using an inaccurate (overly high) exchange rate. As another reviewer mentioned, theyll try to overcharge you if they can, but theyre not persistent about it. So just be assertive. On the other hand Joseph was very friendly, and helped me get an espresso at breakfast. I had an east-facing window, so had good natural light in the mornings. The outdoor dining area had outlets, so that was a pleasant spot to work on a laptop.
Gym is ok, albeit small. Note that there are no barbells, squat/press racks, or mirrors. Nice set of dumbbells though. And its refreshingly sunny and breezy, good view. But also there was this dude (staff) who creepily stared at me the whole time. As in, he wasnt exercising, he just stood there and stared at me for an hour. Not fun, especially as a woman. Breakfast is ok, but options are limited, especially for vegetarians. For example, I asked for veg samosas and received beef samosas. Im not vegetarian, so it wasnt a big deal, but could be for others. The mattresses are covered in plastic, which is annoying, but not enormously so. The mattress itself is comfy, and the neighborhood is quiet, so I slept well. Theres no kettle in the rooms. Mobile phone service was a little spotty. I didnt eat at the restaurant, so I cant comment on the quality. I would maybe stay here again. Its decent value for the money, and certainly not the worst place Ive stayed in Kampala. But Im not sure its the best deal in this price range.
