The gardens are very nice and the staff are extremely friendly and hard working. There is a lot of potential for this hotel to be very good and attract overseas customers.
I have been a customer since 2016. The prices of the rooms keep rising and there are no improvements on the room or the service. The staff are consistently friendly and this has kept me coming back. However, the bed sheets, mosquito netting and towels are of a very low quality, and often there is no hot water for a shower. During this visit, the airport pick up was not included ($25 - they did waive this when I complained), and it was the same person who has picked me up in the past - so this is not because of a change (or improvement) in the service. During the last visit, the car broke down from the airport near midnight. I have noticed that in some rooms there are now large spa showers or baths that look gimmicky - I would much rather have good quality sheets and towels and guaranteed hot water! They also do not spray for mosquitos, so having a good (and clean) mosquito net that fits the beds is important. The food is very average.
